8"x16" acrylic on canvas. In this series I compress the characters into an intimate space. For the viewer, this means there are no cues about who, when, or where they are; for the characters, it means that they have no external resources. Devoid of possessions, status, and history, they must rely on themselves and each other to define their relationship.

IC&E 6426 departs Bensenville Yard and heads onto CP 2 for Bryn Mawr. At this same time this guy was leaving, another IC&E was departing the other end of the yard with 632 (I hate it when that happens!), forcing a decision between the two. Turns out I made the right decision as I ended up grabbing a shot of 632 anyways (see next photo).

Luz cenital
People waited in front of City Hall and couples lined up at the County Clerk's office hoping to get married. A ruling was anticipated between 9 am and noon.
After noon, people cheered as they heard the stay had been lifted, But after reading a PDF of the decision on an iPad, people learned stay won't be lifed til 5 pm on Aug 18th (if another court doesn't overturn Judge Walker or grant more time)
