This one looks like it was debating on what to go for in the pile - cracked corn or sunflower seeds as the peanuts are always the first things to get gobbled up.

Like most of you, December is a bit of a hectic month for me so hopefully I will get to see all of your images as quick as I can. In the meantime, I will thank you now in advance for having a peak at my images here.

Sad news, following decisions taken by the public sector funding for Auchindrain Township has at this moment been cut completely from March 2025. While the Trustees continue to seek support, the site will currently be unable to open and all staff will be made redundant. The Trustees hope a solution might be found that will prevent the disposal and dispersal of the collections, which represent the cumulative history and life of the site and its people.

Get in or stay dry?

Water at Zuma Beach isn't that cold getting in.

[Seen and photographed at Zuma Beach, a county beach on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. It's one of the most popular beaches in Los Angeles County. The beach was packed on this day and there were riptides.]

Once this eagle landed with its catch, it had a decision to make as photographers converged - should I stay and consume the fish or fly off with the meal - fortunately, it stayed.

Whether you're a human making your way through life, or water making its way down the mountain, sometimes we're all faced with tough decisions. Good luck on your journey! ;o) Taken at my favorite spot at South Mountains State Park with that funky old tree in the background.

Cathead stands in her housecoat, pondering.

Which head to wear today?

Which McNeney to be?

The choice is always hardest on days like today, when Cathead has so much on her mind she needs all heads on deck at once. And truly, sincerely, she wishes she could morph into a full-on cat and crawl into some nice cozy warm pace and just sleep.

Naming an unborn must be one of the toughest decisions to be made...

a good share of the suggestions (...including "Mischa") were contributed by our four years old ;-) "Franz Nemo" became the official project working title.

For a feline, Ollie shows tremendous restraint when it comes to my collections. A kitten would have those shelves cleared in a trice. The mood to poke around in my stuff strikes Ollie only about once a month.

Here, Ollie raises his right paw as he contemplates a strike on the shell fragment he has selected. It's light enough to fly when tapped but sufficiently solid to make a satisfying thunk when it hits the carpet.

Ollie's ambitions pale in comparison with the late Dot's. She was obsessed with the long red horse hair that forms the beard of the old Bolivian dance mask on the upper right. www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_qbw1nzIoA

Dot tried her best to get close enough to chew it, but I was able to place it beyond her reach.

“Some of our important choices have a time line. If we delay a decision, the opportunity is gone forever. Sometimes our doubts keep us from making a choice that involves change. Thus an opportunity may be missed.”
