This adondoned house is part of what was once a thriving homestead.

An abandoned barn, farm truck, and several sheds are still on the on the property, but the light was'nt good for photos.

Something drab and dreary to match the weather we are currently having!

 

This is an echinacea flower head that's well past its best!

 

I quite like how its kept its form throughout the decaying process, even though its about to drop to bits at any moment!

The Page apartment building in need of desperate repair to be saved.

The host of many great events over its time. From the Superbowl, to the FIFA World Cup, to Pope John Paul II and The Who. Many of the greats passed through here.

 

Today its only claim to fame is a decaying eyesore.

Removing the lid of the worm compost bin this morning was more rewarding than usual. The abundent growth of white mould gave it a strange kind of misty beauty - to me, anyway! This one is for all of you who like picturesque decay. After all, at my age, picturesque decay is about the best you can hope for.

Another from our club evening outing,while exploring around the pier struts,I came across various parts of the pier in places other than where they were originally fitted!! Hence I didn't stay under the pier for too long!

Thats the trouble spot, thats when the pressure plate is loose on my Rolleiflex. But its all fixed now. Happy. :)
