This piece was for a series I created called Suburban Decay: The Real American Dream. It portrays the subculture of my degenerate generation and the attitude we have developed towards life. The aesthetic is meant to be sexy, elegant, and trashy.

Back pathway long since returned to natures processes. Hope Cal Poly Pomona's project comes through, yet former Earthside Nature Center's character & history is somehow integrated & preserved. Only wish I had known bout/ toured this open southern California natives space while in area as a lad. A departure for me, a study of a decaying farm cottage two up two down, no windows left, and open to the elements. It's a tiny building, went in search of something, but that's another story !

this poor old brick house sits off baumhart rd and looks like it about to be destroyed.

End of their lifecycle: the caps have dissolved into a malodorous slime, colonised by maggots. There are small brown flies hovering about.
