An old landing stage along the Manchester Ship Canal near Vauxhalls, Ellesmere Port.
Construction of the MSC started in 1887 and the land near to this section was once RAF Hooton and then became Vauxhalls Car Factory. I love this section of the Manchester Ship Canal near Booston Woods. i've been exploring this wood/waterfront for about 25yrs even though its not technically open to the public(i've never been told to get off the land... ever)i'm not sure what this landing stage was used for and the oily smell from the residue on the rocks isn't pleasant but its decay and the fact it hasn't been removed always interests me.
The decaying, old Rapid Bay Jetty. I haven't been here for several years so was keen to check this beach out on my recent family holiday on the Fleurieu and wasn't disappointed.
I always wondered why pianos were often left behind at abandoned houses, asylums and cafes.
After buying an antique piano last year I know just how heavy they are and what sort of specialist equipment you need to move the damn things!
It cost more to get it moved the 30 miles to my house than the price of the actual piano!!

A peak into a very decayed kitchen, it's probably not been used for over 30 years!! Shot at a very spooky place wich used to be a former diamond trade centre in Antwerpen. Very dark with lot's of dead birds/rats, creepy! But also with a lot of nice decay and forniture/interiors from the 60-70's.
One of the most striking signs of the decay of art is when we see its separate forms jumbled together.

Autumn wins you best by this its mute appeal to sympathy for its decay.

An old warehouse I found today in New Westminster.
Can you find Waldo? (Or his great great grandfather?) You'll need to view large.
Processed using Lightroom with layer masks to adjust light levels and to blur the background. Finished with Photoshop and Nik Silver Efex for the B&W conversion.
