Taken at the afore mentioned Shoreline Park. The temperature was about 42 degrees this morning. But to get calm water you have to get there early. To get close I would scope out the lake for the ducks and grebes which were all diving birds. As they dove I would make my way closer and then get down low before they popped up. Sometimes they would get scared but they would come back if I stayed still. The common Goldeneye is a lifer for me.
Due to the poor reliability of the original rubber hinges fitted at ECW, Crosville modified all the early RE coaches to nylon or metal hinges. This was quite an involved job so much so they had to be totally stripped and rebuilt to return to original spec.

18th December,2009. Meadowcroft, Aylesbury, Bucks. Unusual to get real snow before Christmas in these parts. Having said that, the snowflakes are artificial from picnik. ( One for Marlene )
The village of Mae Pam is undoubtedly one of my favourite locations in the Chiang Dao area, I've visited it on numerous occasions and never tire of it. My obsession is the simple rural life that still exists here and I'm always reminded that having a roof over your head and food on your plate doesn't have to be such a complex thing in order to achieve a happy and contented life.
