Took this shot out in Sierra De Las Uvas, west of Las Cruces. If anyone goes hiking out there, let me know if you find my lens hood, the one in this photo. Lost it somewhere out there. The only one I had.

This grown cow gives a really nice size reference to the old fallen tree behind our house. I really liked the way the light shone through as well. Unfortunately, this was taken with the wrong settings on the camera.

This dead tree on hwy 41 north, just past the 22 mile house, is a landmark I always look out for on the way to Yosemite and our family cabin in Fish Camp. I've long wanted to stop and photograph it in late afternoon light, and this last weekend I finally got to!

  

I'm submitting this to the Fresno Photographers group rather tentatively. It wasn't shot in Fresno county, but I think it might be something that's familiar to people who've travelled from Fresno up highway 41 to Yosemite. Let me know if you recognize it! :-)

There a some animals behind the tree ... but I liked this dead tree more than the animals... I don't even know what exactly they were...
