Or something like that. I have been busy with this flower or the impression of a flower for 2 hours, and I am not yet satisfied. But the picture has to be taken today, day 21 of 2011. So it is what it is.

The one antler is floppy and broken. He hates these things... actually he's okay with them. Immediately following this he ripped them off.
29 Days of Sneakers @ Kicktures.com
I'm wearing a different pair of sneakers everyday aug 1st to my birthday aug 29th and posting them on my blog
A year ago, Kurt gave me a smartphone for my birthday. I started with Android 1.6 but a few months into owning it I upgraded to 2.1 -- and that was the end of the upgrades. The battery life on my old phone sucked, and it just was so super slow. What's the point of having a smartphone if you have to wait thirty seconds or more just to pull up a text message?!
This week I finally got tired of all the issues and problems and the babying I was doing with my old phone. I couldn't hardly use it out in town because the battery was so crappy! So I bit the bullet and got myself an HTC Evo. This piece of equipment is truly beautiful. It works, quickly and easily and elegantly. I open an app, and it's there. I switch to something else, and it's there. No more waiting! It just WORKS. This is probably what it felt like when Apple folks upgraded to an iPhone 4. All I can say is that I am in LOVE.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. Yay Android.

I hope this makes you smile on this blue Monday. I've been running around all day and won't be stopping until late so it was a little fun mixed in the middle.
Learning notes or just plain information:
After a few exposure issues I finally put the camera in manual. I have to keep reminding myself to do that. I used the delay remote with face focus in live view. After it focused and during the delay, I lifted my hair and kept my face still. I got a folding background and finally decided that I should be taking photos in my living room. It has a large north facing window and I can place the background on the east wall to get good natural side light. I can also move around a little more easily. I like the photo in comment section but I wish my eyes were uncovered. I was trying to tet the wild hair look with my arms down. Timing....
So, this is me under anesthesia. I actually took my camera with me to the dentist's office today. Dig the snorkel get up feeding me nitrous.
photos I came across in the wrong section and instead of putting them into the correct section I decided to use them for today's prompt (it only took a minute or two to find them) The journaling is on a pull out tag attached to the arrow on the bottom right.
