These pools of water are vital to the animal life in the desert. To get to this secluded spot, you have to drive in on a four-wheel drive road for about 30 minutes then hike in about a quarter mile. Well worth it!
Bad picture, I know. Cut me some slack. Been working 6 days a week, this day was the Arlington Street Fair. I got to sit outside on the street in our salon booth all day long, with a horrible sinus infection. Being sick is even more fun when you have crowds of people staring at you. Hehe.
It,s hard to see the forest for the trees! Sometimes the best things in life are right in front of us and we miss our one shot for all the other distractions and poof just like that they are gone, Be careful what you ask for you may just get it. Have an amazing day!!
I'llsay goodnight this way........
The first time we met is a favorite mem'ry of mine.
They say time changes all it pertains to
But your memory is stronger than time.
I guess everything does change except what you choose to recall.
There's a million good daydreams to dream on
But, baby, you are My Favorite Mem'ry of all.
Like the night we made love in the hallway,
Slept all night long on the floor.
Like the winter we spent at Lake Shasta alone, and closer than ever before.
And I remember that London vacation.
It was you who made the whole thing a ball.
There's a million good-times I could dwell on,
But, baby, you are My Favorite Mem'ry of all.

I know another twangy country tune but it's what I like.
The great coffee place just up the street from our hotel in Phoenix was the only proper cup of tea I had the whole time.
Today's Post finds me In mid-day Bible Study. Yesterday's post was about getting physically fit, today's is about feeding & training the spirit. This is even more important.
1 Timothy 4:8 says "For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. I'm truly grateful for my Pastor, my Father, and my Friend, who's teaching, and life by example inspires me to be the best I can be. Day21/365 #project365 - Pastor Timothy U Ryals

I have been busy all day so the two fishermen just had to pose for this quick shot.
I guess there will be plenty of domestic photos this year... :o)

Californian Weirdo: I don't like fish.
Jim: You are listening to KAOS here in Los Angeles.
Californian Weirdo: I don't like fish.
Jim: Yes, we've established that. Ah! Do you have a request?
Californian Weirdo: Shell fish, guppy, salmon, shrimp and crab and lobster, flounder.I hate fish, but I think most of all I hate fresh fish, like trout. I hate fresh trout. My least-hated, favourite fish would be sole. That way you don't have to see the eyes. Sole has no eyes.
Jim: Oh no!
Californian Weirdo: I'd like to be home with my monkey and my dog
Jim: Thankyou.
Californian Weirdo: I'd like to be home with my monkey and my dog
I'd like to be home with my monkey and my dog
I'd like to be home with my monkey ...
Jim: They don't care. Shut up. Play the record.

Wondering what today will bring weatherwise. Looks like we're in for more rain...in fact, looks like we're in for rain for the next week or so. Going to stay warm today, bundle up...these storms have been somewhat colder than we've had so far this season.

I was very keen to try out tilt-shift processing for the 365:2013 group weekly theme - had a couple of tries at finding a high viewpoint while in the city today, since that's meant to work best for tilt-shift, but ending up seeing this on the walk home from daycare pickup! I tried it out at tiltshiftmaker.com first, but then did the final image in my elderly version of Elements using www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73993 . It was really fun to learn something new!
