It is supposed to be a happy weekend here at Patras carnival. A weekend of joy, dance, parades, photos, drinks and so on. Weather though isn't with us. Blatantly trying to steal from a great portrait.
Didn't quite work out.
The photo was monotone reds...and softly focused. It was a challenging photo to work with. But once I got started it was so enjoyable. I left the threads hanging were they were to become part of the texture of the portrait.
Was in Glasgow for a meeting first thing this morning. In the sleet and the cold, with the remnants of the Xmas decorations still hanging, George Square looked pretty forlorn.
