El Presidente hard at work amusing his subjects! 31 Day Challenge. Action shot! Think I like this one more than the colour one
I am soooo addicted too the internet...Sometimes it's even scary. RSS, emails, instant messengers, flickr... and so on and so on. And my work (wed-designer) is dependent on the net too, so it's vicious circle. eh...
Inside the industrial, steampunk-like decadence of Fitzroy's Basque-style pintxos bar, Naked for Satan (note: their website contains some nudity so if you have a high offense threshold DON'T CLICK THE LINK: www.nakedforsatan.com.au/).
Before you start reaching for the holy water, the name of this bar has less to do with Beelzebub, and more to do with the building's (real or constructed?) history: www.nakedforsatan.com.au/the-naked-story/
Naked for Satan is of my top five bars in Melbourne, and a great place to grab a snack, covet the light fixtures, and drink great cocktails with your friends. I love how they have shaped the overall space into a series of inviting sub-spaces; I particularly love the big table out the back with the huge, twisted metal candlelabrum on it. Whoever designed the interiors - you rock!
I was extra excited to discover that they are currently building a rooftop bar - check out their Tumblr page for details of the build: nakedforsatan.tumblr.com/. Already planning my outfit for that one!
i'm training in tae kwon do.
And for the record: Yeah, I wrote "Pow!" on my foot with sharpie. No photoshop.
it tickled :-P
I ordered two books yesterday, #the100 and #day21, and while it’s actually vastly different from the show, which I adore, I’m really enjoying it. It’s almost as though the show is a work of really well written fanfiction come to life, and it’s wonderful to see two different perspectives play off of one another so well. It’s rare adaptations ever give readers what they truly want—Games of Thrones, seasons 2-4. Then again, sometimes it happens in the most unexpected and breathtaking ways—Lord of the Rings, not The Hobbit.
Writing is such an important part of my life, as is reading, for without one, how is the other possible? So much of the inspiration for my novels comes from Lord of the Rings, DragonLance, Harry Potter, and Eragon, and I started writing long before their film adaptations came out and brought my childhood back to life, gave me something else to infuse into my writing. Reading is so vastly vital to our survival as intelligent, intellectual human beings. Books, even more so—and I mean the physical weight of pages and a binding in your hands—will carry us through anything. There is always time to read, whether it is right before bed (which is good for your mental health and strength), in or out of school (because reading should never stop once you leave that threshold), or even while doing yoga (which can be interesting to attempt).
And so, yes, today I am dressed in wild patterns in honor of the grounders I have yet to meet while reading #the100, warrior’s colors that I will carry with me, bold and challenging every roadblock this world puts in front of me. Nothing matters, as long as I have words.
But what if I really, really, really like milk?

For today's challenge - my third cup of coffee (I know it's probably a lot, but I drink it large and strong too :)
refashioned - gifted top (it was turtle-necked, grrr and had an abominable sequin embroidery, which I removed entirely stitch by stitch)
self-stitched - the cross-stitch picture, which reads "Given enough COFFEE I could rule the world". Pretty inspirational :)
A fantastic set of Moo's from the lovely Kristy
There are few vertical spaces left, I would think about half a dozen.

It is supposed to be a happy weekend here at Patras carnival. A weekend of joy, dance, parades, photos, drinks and so on. Weather though isn't with us. Heavy overcast and rain is in the forecast, and it reminded me of another day that was supposed to be happy but was totally grey... #day21 #365story #insta365 #absence #grey
