I got more than I had bargained for when I offered to take some photos of this little fellow playing golf. Luckily for me the tiny golf ball just pinged off my lens leaving not a mark in sight.
(Took me ages to get this shot right!)

Man it's good to be out Light Painting again! LP during the day too (underground) - made a nice change. This is one of the old Mirus Control Rooms left over from the German Occupation. It was great permission to go inside this place to make my artwork - extremely grateful.

So, I was all set to go out LP-ing and the conditions got really horrible outside. There is just so must moisture about right now! Not good. Back to the garage I went. I decided to push the boat out and try 5 in the same exposure and was amazed that the exposure held so well....so my next one was just balls out!

Poor wee thing. She slept nearly the entire day and can't breathe properly out of her little nose. Thankfully it only lasted a couple of days and she is back smiling again and entertaining us the whole time :O) xx

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT ALERT:
After a lot of research, practice and more practice, I am delighted to finally be able to offer a brand new DGP product to you all: DGP Photo-mosaics.
As some of you will already know, I have been fascinated by photo-mosaics for some time and I continue to be blown away by the level of detail that I am able to accomplish in each print.
I recently decided to go it alone with my photography as I recently left my 9-5 job after 14 long years, and so here goes! My first new launch of a product that I am now offering as a full time artist / photographer. Exciting times! And also very nerve-wracking too...
This particular mosaic is a special one for me as it depicts the Guernsey flag - an island that I lived on the the past 14 very happy years of my life. It is comprised of thousands of tiny photos of Guernsey that I have taken over the years that I lived there.

My footwork was all over the place on that slanty rock, I think that is why it looks a bit like an Orb within an Orb. Ah well...each Orb is certainly unique!
Love these things! They are caked full of a herbal scent that is kind of like a menthol release. They have to be tried to be fully understood, but trust me, they are the nuts!!

Well, today has been an utterly crazy day. Guernsey has been battered by storms for most of the day: hail / high winds / and the highest tide of the year (10 meters!).
This made for some interesting conditions for photography. I think I had to stop, and start all over again at least 5 times as my equipment (camera and filters) got soaked so many times. It was chaotic, but great fun too.
Bring on more of the same tomorrow :O)

Although I (somehow) managed out for a spot of light painting today, there is only one way I want to end my 365 project, and that is with a photograph of our beautiful little baby daughter, Léa May Gilliver. She joined us on the 13th of October 2014, and life has changed forever. She is just incredible.
Thank you to everyone who has fav'd, commented on, or just looked at my photography work throughout the year. This has been an incredibly special year for me not only because myself and Melissa became proud parents, but also because some very special things have happened with my photography throughout 2014. I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store!!
My Landscape/Seascape work, Light Paintings, Star Wars series, and the Little People will all be back again next year :O)

p.s. Taking on a 365 project firstly during a year in which we got married, and then secondly in a year where we became parents was crazy! So if I can do it, you can too. If you have not already tried a 365 - I really do recommend it. Go for it! You will learn LOADS and it is just so incredibly rewarding.

I stumbled across an image that I didn't bother uploading last year but when I see it now I actually quite likeit! Must be down to the fact that I am craving conditions like these at the moment.
