My folks are visiting at the moment and so today was spent walking around the coast, and then a trip to the park. This little dude was watching over us as we walked along and I just had time to hit the shutter before be flew off again.

Available lighting. It looks like softbox lighting - it was actually created by a large backlit advertisement at the end of a tram stop shelter. Some colour correcting was required because of the colouring in the poster.

I was trapped in an airport last night for over 5 hours due to delays. My flight was finally cancelled due to fog and this fish in the hotel lobby looked just like how I felt at the time. Trapped. Ah well, I am home now so can't grumble too much.
iPhone to the rescue once again!

Agh....Spring time! Gotta love it. Saying that, the weather is about to take a serious turn for the worse this week - alas. Roll on summer....
I was inspired by www.davidgilliver.com/photography/ because of the contrast of Stormtroopers and other figurines that you normally wouldn't think to do menial chores such as taking out the trash. This was a really cool idea to me because it gave a sense of normality to superheroes and villains that normally wouldn't exist due to the settings we originally saw these characters in.
