Well, today has been an utterly crazy day. Guernsey has been battered by storms for most of the day: hail / high winds / and the highest tide of the year (10 meters!).
This made for some interesting conditions for photography. I think I had to stop, and start all over again at least 5 times as my equipment (camera and filters) got soaked so many times. It was chaotic, but great fun too.
Bring on more of the same tomorrow :O)

Although I (somehow) managed out for a spot of light painting today, there is only one way I want to end my 365 project, and that is with a photograph of our beautiful little baby daughter, Léa May Gilliver. She joined us on the 13th of October 2014, and life has changed forever. She is just incredible.
Thank you to everyone who has fav'd, commented on, or just looked at my photography work throughout the year. This has been an incredibly special year for me not only because myself and Melissa became proud parents, but also because some very special things have happened with my photography throughout 2014. I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store!!
My Landscape/Seascape work, Light Paintings, Star Wars series, and the Little People will all be back again next year :O)
Thanks again, and a very Happy New Year to you all :O)

p.s. Taking on a 365 project firstly during a year in which we got married, and then secondly in a year where we became parents was crazy! So if I can do it, you can too. If you have not already tried a 365 - I really do recommend it. Go for it! You will learn LOADS and it is just so incredibly rewarding.

I stumbled across an image that I didn't bother uploading last year but when I see it now I actually quite likeit! Must be down to the fact that I am craving conditions like these at the moment. It is painfully cold today and the forecast does not exactly look very good for the week ahead sadly. D'oh!!

Well, how lucky am I to have the perfect little baby-model to help get me through to the end of my 365 (and beyond). I am just so mesmerised by her.
365s can certainly have their downsides, but on the flipside it is helping me make sure I document this precious stage of Léa's development which is amazing, and we will cherish these images forever.

Project: Memory Tower
This particular photograph was shot in the basement of the deserted tower block of Cour du Parc here on Guernsey.
I am extremely happy to report that my solo exhibition of 'Project: Memory Tower' was a great success. It has been an incredible experience, and one that I hope to repeat again in the near future.
Thanks to all that helped me along the way (there are a few!) and here's to the next exhibition.

Yesterday was almost like a summer's day - out of nowhere! The water was however absolutely freezing. All of the photographs I took seem to look best in B&W which makes a nice change for me.

ARTS SUNDAY - Guernsey
Well, one of my favourite days of the year has come, and gone.
The weather was pretty much perfect from start to finish (oh yeah, apart from that insane downpour at the end). You can't argue with 25 degrees C and zero wind for 7 out of the 8 hours.
Thanks so much to everyone that came to visit my stall today - I really appreciated it. And I am really pleased to report that I sold a heap of work which will help me fund future photography ventures so I am extremely happy about that.

I tried out a few new ideas this evening, but a few of them were pretty disasterous (including a laser). I'm on a pretty steep learning curve with these things as it is only day 3, but hoping to get my hands on a few things tomorrow that should help me push these kinds of images forward a bit.

Physiogram - small LED

Well, after thinking to myself "Agh yes, I can just quickly nip into the garage and spin one quick physiogram and job's a good un" how wrong was I! 90 minutes later I emerged knackered and frustrated! OK, that sounds a bit dodgy but that is what happens when a physio session goes tits up! I had to scrap 7 out of the 9 shots I took tonight for one reason or another (the best one being a car pulling into our driveway and lighting up the garage as though I was on stage at the end of a 12 minute long exposure!). Agh well....it's not like I am not used to suffering for this 366...
Annoyingly it looks very similar to one of the physios I spun last week but I am not going back down there - I am spent.
