Here is another set of pictures that were used by someone originally claiming to be in USA, and then claimed to be orphaned and stranded in Ghana living with her grandmother.
If you know the true identity of the subject then maybe we can stop these photos being used over and over again by dating scammers.

BOX DATE: 1987
MANUFACTURER: Mattel
DOLLS IN LINE: Barbie; Becky; Belinda; Bopsy
MISSING ITEMS: Jacket, microphone, glasses, socks, shoes, earring studs, cardboard punch outs
PERSONAL FUN FACT: I found this jumpsuit at the local flea market in June of 2025. It was in a small tub with random doll/Build a Bear clothes. The items were $1 a piece, which adds up. However, there weren't many Barbie fashions inside, so it wasn't too pricey to snag all the ones we deemed important. I immediately recognized this as being from a 1980s Barbie band themed line. I was fairly certain it was from the Barbie and the Sensations wave. It turns out my hunch was correct! Bopsy was a single appearance character. I really don't know why Mattel didn't just call her Midge (they look the same honestly). Perhaps it was because they wanted all the dolls to have "B" names? Either way, Bopsy is adorable and I have her outfit in the event I ever find the doll. It's in great shape despite its age. The colors are vibrant and there aren't any rips or tears!

MANUFACTURER: Mattel
DOLLS IN LINE: Julian; Kianna; Zahara; Courtney; Janessa
MISSING ITEMS: Shorts, shoes, backpack, 2 magazines, cardboard ruler, cardboard pencils, cardboard football, cardboard juice box, cardboard folder, cardboard ball
PERSONAL FUN FACT: I forget which lot of dolls this came in. But I remember being SO annoyed that I couldn't identify it at the time. I've had it for a few years--it was finally identified in 2025. I knew it was made by Mattel, and for a slightly taller boy doll. I thought it was a Chelsea friend of sorts, but ruled that out. I didn't know that there were So in Style boy dolls manufactured, which is why I didn't think to check them out. I was perusing a random website that catalogued various dolls, when I saw the picture of Julian pop up. I was elated to finally have solved the mystery. Sadly, the pants were not present when I acquired the top. But I have some plainer little doll shorts that could match this if I needed to dress a boy doll up in it. The So in Style dolls were out in stores when I first began collecting again in 2011. However, I wasn't actively buying or perusing Barbies at the time in stores, so that's why I completely missed out on the existence of the little guys!

I intend to use this as a resource for mixed media artwork. It is also the first of these photos that I took. I'm not sure what kind of fish it is supposed to be.
