The date has been marked in my diary for some weeks but still I was rushing to the Post Shop at 4.45pm. I was away at the weekend so didn't wrap anything then. I took the wrapping paper to work and did it there. The cards had already been written. A card and a calendar to Lincoln, England; a small small parcel with card and gifts for my friends in Cologne, Germany and a larger parcel with cards and gifts for three of my granddaughters in Brighton.
I wonder when they will arrive?
The picture is of the tree in the window of the Post Shop on Featherston Street and I'm still playing with the newly discovered picture-in-picture feature on my new mobile phone.

I bought this Duran Duran single today at St. Vincent DePaul thrift store. It's got "New Religion" on one side and "Reflex (The Dance Mix Edited)" on the other.

Somebody thinks that 6-1-84 is an important date. It's written in nail polish and also in pencil.

Once a month AGR has a play date. This is an opportunity for adopters and foster homes to bring the greyhounds to an enclosed area to play and run. Usually there is a gathering of about 30 dogs. Try to imagine 30 greyhounds running. Watch out is the operative word.
Yes, they are all wearing muzzles. The greys get very excited with the running and their competitive spirit surfaces. Their skin is very thin and just a nick can mean a major injury.

Josh made us dinner tonight and we ate it on his deck under the stars. It was the perfect night to be outside. He made a simple roasted chicken, asparagus spears topped with a poached egg. Afterward we watched Autisim: The Musical, which I loved.
