There was a chill in the air, but the night was too pretty not to sit outside. So i waved him out to the cozy courtyard as he sauntered in 30 minutes late. He'd been a bit late for our first date, too... and even moreso for the second. Establishing dominance... so adorable. And that was fine... they were all the easier to maneuver that way. Besides, he'd been doing pretty well so far... maybe tonight we'd discover just how much dominance he can actually deliver...

I keep wondering about the sky’s significant changes from one shape to another in a matter of seconds as the sun goes down.
I can’t even predict how the sky shape would turn at any given sunset/sunrise moment.
It’s always different and each time it changes according to a unique and sophisticated set of orders in a one-off algorithm; I believe.
It must, surely, has its proper scientific explanation. For me, it’s a mysteriously joyful experience and a source of great happiness.
The clouds here -a minute before this shot- were almost one piece when a sudden gentle wind started to blow turning the water calm surface into ripples and that one cloud began to move apart forming this magnificent sky.
The breeze carried by that gentle wind together with the amazing view, made for an awesomely wonderful moment. The lonely bird flew away immediately after the sun was completely vanished.

Last Wednesday I was able to catch both the empties and loads on NHN with little effort. I got word that Dover was packed full of interchange and knew a full green set had gone south the day before. With gas, steel, and oil I knew there would be a chance they may be pretty late getting into the pit. I got the timely heads up as I was taking my lunch that they had just departed Tri-City, so I headed downtown to see what was available. Although not the most ideal conditions, it was better than the cloud mess forecasted, and I got a quick visit in with the friendly folks waterside in Lebanon, Maine. They had an impressive 53 cars going north.

The date was JANUARY 31, 2018. It was in the news that there will be a TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE early in the morning that day. It was also dubbed the SUPERMOON! And so, I waited, and waited, and waited. This photo was taken at 5:36AM! NO, I didn't get up early, I stayed awake and WAITED! I must have been crazy!

With roots dating back to 1873, the Rutledge Home name is deeply embedded in the Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin community.
As a memorial to his wife, Hannah, and a desire to provide shelter and care for the aged, Mr. Edward Rutledge, bequeathed funds in his will for the construction of The Hannah M. Rutledge Home for the Aged. Construction took place from 1910-1913, and on May 1, 1913 the home opened at 300 Bridgewater Avenue in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Those that moved in could stay at Rutledge Home for as long as they needed, under the condition they turned over all of their assets to Rutledge Charities upon their passing.
Dating back to the 16th Century Lindisfarne Castle was extensively remodelled in 1901 in the Arts and Craft style by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens as a country house for publishing magnate Edward Hudson. Now managed by the National Trust.
