Party on C Row, Wendling, Oregon, unk date
C Row (also called Silk Stocking Row as it was mostly occupied by Booth-Kelly management) was built in October and November 1910 after the August 1910 fire. The house at the end of the row is a two story homestead house built by William McCullough, the farmer whose fields were purchased to build Wendling. The house was sold to Charlie Holcomb a year before Booth-Kelly purchased the land, so it is usually referred to as the "Holcomb house".
Here we see a party at one of the houses. Oriental paper lanterns are strung along wires for decoration. On the porch, a woman and a boy are sitting. In the yard there are eleven tables, many with floral centerpieces. Two women and two boys can be seen among the tables.
Stars and Stripes banners addorn the fence and the house, so this may be a 4th of July party.
