Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual outdoor Battery Dance Festival went virtual this year, like so many other performances.

So there was no live festival and most of the international dance companies that participated did so via video.

But NYC let the Festival film a handful of the performers live, albeit in the very early morning, as a way to discourage curious onlookers. These are some of the companies that participated; but this necessarily is a very small sampling.

The dance troupe for the Luau did different styles of dance from the Polynesian islands. These are Tahitian styled dress and dance styles (very fast shaking).

This was taken with my Sony DSC-TX30 as there were three rain-showers during the show. My little Sony is waterproof but my mirrorless a7III is not.
