Belly dancing is still being performed in UAE. Due to restriction by Islamic laws, most of the dancers now hail from Russia, and Eastern European countries. Taken during a Desert Safari trip in UAE recently where the guests were presented by belly dancing performance at dinner time.
NOTE: This photo is not that sharp due to fast movement. Under dimmed lighting, my D90 lost the battle with the dancer.

The work is in progress. And I am just exited about how it will look in the end! It will probably not look anything like this. I do like the dress of the lady but not how the man dresses! And the background is not so good. :)

After months Nanci finally gave me a date for our shoot. I knew I wanted to shoot her in water - and out emerged the Water Goddess ;)
