Dancing night spirits, that is one idea at least. I took this on about a 8 second time-lapse of holiday lights outside at night. Fun and lovely to see.

Battery Dance, "Icarus"
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual outdoor Battery Dance Festival went virtual this year, like so many other performances.
So there was no live festival and most of the international dance companies that participated did so via video.
But NYC let the Festival film a handful of the performers live, albeit in the very early morning, as a way to discourage curious onlookers. These are some of the companies that participated; but this necessarily is a very small sampling.

Downtown Miami. Walking the streets, hunting with my lens, I came upon this scene. A homeless gentleman dancing on the sidewalk to some music that was playing and all of a sudden the music was abruptly shut off and this was reaction. I could image, he must have said “wth”.

After months Nanci finally gave me a date for our shoot. I knew I wanted to shoot her in water - and out emerged the Water Goddess ;)

The work is in progress. And I am just exited about how it will look in the end! It will probably not look anything like this. I do like the dress of the lady but not how the man dresses! And the background is not so good. :)
