I just invite you to look a few seconds longer at my (memory of a) dancing landscape. Now, it is winter and you can no longer walk there; it is a memory of a landscape, not the landscape itself.

There were still quite a lot of these little anemones flowering on a meadow which I crossed on my walk this morning. It was windy and they really seemed to be dancing in the wind.

Some people can subconsciously prevent you from becoming your best self.
Everything you do in this life- where you go, what you say, what you do and who you do it with is the result of your thoughts.
A big reason people fight is because people identify with their thoughts. When we were growing up, most of us believed that thoughts come from the inside. We thought that they were innately a part of us and that we *are* our thoughts. We started building our whole identities around our own little internal monologues.
And the bigger the idea, the more of your identity it represents. This is why politics and religion are such hotly debated topics, because they're such big ideas. If I say your political idea is a bad idea, and you base your identity on that idea, then effectively what you're hearing is that I'm calling you a bad person. You think that I'm attacking you, not the idea.
Something that might be even more common is that people just straight up attack the individual as a proxy for attacking that person's idea.
Somewhere along the way, a few people started realizing they had it all wrong.
In practice, a much better way to think about it is that the universe has an infinite number of streams of thoughts, so to speak, that our brains can kind of tap into like different radio stations. With this analogy, we no longer have to view ourselves as a series of thoughts but rather as an empty vessel by which thoughts pass through. Now we're like the DJ of a radio station, not the individual song. The self is merely an observer. It was this distinction that sparked one of the most famous philosophical debates of all time, which is, I think therefore I am versus I *do* therefore I am.
Spolier alert, you should pick the latter.
In this analogy, the self is determined by our ability to pick and choose different ideas from different streams of thoughts and combine them to form new ideas. Sort of like picking ingredients to make a sandwich.
This is different from the first paradigm, in which we would just take everything from the same stream and hope that the sandwich turns out good anyways.
Therapists know that this works, that's why when people come in complaining about depression, they're told to use the term "negative intrusive thoughts".
The idea is actually pretty simple. If you don't take ownership of the idea and instead you assign a label to it, then you can categorize it as something that life just happened to send your way but something that you're also allowed to throw away. You don't have to hold on to it because it's not actually a part of you. It's just a shitty song on the radio station.
So how does this all relate to other people holding you back?

This is part of an art museum. The photo was taken by chance. As I looked down the spiral staircase, I overheard a stranger—someone I didn’t know—saying they wanted to dance in this space. I instinctively raised my camera and took the shot.
In the year, 1518 a woman named Frau Troffea
Started dancing in Strasbourg
and couldn't stop.
An epidemic of joy
The craze spread
The uncontrollable desire to move
Neighbors and passing witnesses
Were infected like a fire
Could not stand still
An unbearable sensation until all the limbs flailed and
The doctors and police wailed.
It had to be illness...or sin....
Something outside of the body

Had a lovely morning yesterday and what a change in conditions it provided
Some pretty colour at sunrise turned into more muted tones as the sun rose behind the clouds
I captured the usual Steetley images but enjoyed trying a few different things, which will follow
A few hours down the line, the black clouds rolled in, offering a rather stormy look to the sky
The other two togs I met down there had long gone, so barr the odd dog walker, I had the place to myself

Dancing Torah in Synagogue

After a week of celebration, Sukkoth, the Feast of Tabernacles, is closed with another Shabbat-like holiday called Simchat Torah, The Joy of the Torah, that takes place in synagogue. This is the only time of year on which the Torah scrolls are taken out of the Ark. Then, when the Ark is opened, the worshippers leave their seats to dance and sing with the Torah scrolls in a joyous celebration that can last for several hours.
3 fascinating facts about the leaning houses in Amsterdam
Angle of inclination: Some houses have an inclination of up to 5 degrees—that's more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Fame: The dancing houses on Damrak are one of the most photographed motifs in Amsterdam and a highlight for every photographer.
Water level: The changing water level in the canals affects the stability of the houses. When the water level is low, the wooden piles are exposed to oxygen, which leads to rot and weakens the foundations.
The dancing houses are inextricably linked to Amsterdam's canal network. The entire city rests on an ingenious system of waterways that not only regulated transport but also shaped the way buildings were constructed. Without the canal system, there would be no city as we know it today.

This is one of first shots with my new camera.
I messed up with long exposure and had some shaking. Could tell it was an ICM, but it was rather an U-ICM (an unitenional camera movement).
Then I fixed this movement in postprocessing which resulted in this picture, which has kind of unique appearance

The peonies got tangled in the clouds.
They are attracted by the pale blue distances.
And it seems that right in front of my eyes,
They soared in the sky, flew...
And their petals smoothly and easily
Intertwined in the air, playing,
They were blown far away by the wind.
What they dreamed of was coming true.
And by making a bet with the cicadas,
They were dancing in a waltz of a bright sunset.
Their dance lasted until dawn.
The sun burst in, and everything disappeared somewhere...
but nothing.The ball is not over yet.
Until the evening, the heroes only dispersed.
And they are waiting impatiently for the day to come in heaven.
That's the hour. And the evening arranged everything....(this dance was performed in my garden...)
