70 cups of coffee tasted from 7 different lots on their farm. What an amazing cupping session. The only problem is that we started this at 7pm!!

We have another dog. Yes, three. And she seems to live the cupping
room and hanging out around the spitoon. Eh. Not sure that's a good
thing. Ben suggested the name Video. At least that was what I think he
said. We'll wait and see if any new names emerge.

After visiting Faz. Paraiso, Eileen, Christian, Bruno and I all returned to Patrocinio to cup coffees from Fazenda Serra Negra and Fazenda Chapadao do Ferro, both farms we've worked with in the past.
The cupping lab was small but pleasant. And while we were able to get decent aromas, I was really unhappy with the grind we were using. Totally inconsistent with a lot of dust, lending to a consistent fuzziness in the cup. Despite this, we found a few coffees we liked. They will be reroasted and we'll cup them again tomorrow.
I've been seeing an acupuncturist since last summer and I swear by it. The scientist in me was very skeptical, but so far it is the only modality that has kept me out of chronic shoulder and neck pain. Now, I am all in. So when my acupuncturist asked if I wanted to try fire cupping for my sore, snow shoveling shoulders, I said OK! Whoa! Just to be clear: the bruises do not hurt, the therapy felt awesome, and I woke up this morning with no more muscle pain!
