I don't know since it was an unexpected addition. Hoping for cucumbers since I don't think the trellis will hold melons well.
This picture was taken in early July. By early July, you should have larger cucumber plants than this. But...we had a frost and our plants died. Since I couldn't buy new plants (because I couldn't find any in town) I planted them from seed and so they got a later start. They did well in the end and we had quite a few cucumbers. The plant looks cuter when its bushy like that.
These cucumber plants have thrived unbelievably this summer. Remember how they started? Yeah, they're almost out of control now.
A bit of a weird conconction: Cucumber with rice and dill, simmered in vegetable soup and finished with yoghurt. However, it tastes good and is very healthy!
The Marketmore and Lemon cucumber plants are all finally blooming, with a couple of very tiny Marketmore cucumbers already starting to appear!
