Kicking back at Nissan while waiting for my oil change.. Decided to shoot the new CUBE out of boredom! Hope you flicker like it!
In Photoimaging today we were given a SNAP project, which is basically an impromptu photoshoot with a prop of our choice. I chose a Rubix cube. These are my top 6 images and yes I edited them a bit, using Lightroom.
The cube necklet by one of the students from my group with learning difficulties. The lad who made this was so very single-minded, designed it himself and point-blank refused any help in making it. I think this is quite brilliant: I love the way the cubes have been drawn with wire and solder.

In a short period when the LEA AIR sims where free for a night and a day, i could test some more Cube swarms.
I didn't keep count but in total i used 7500 prims / 12 = 625 cubes = 5 x 5 x 5 x 5. Here you can see some images, but it would be better to film it, to see the behavior.
I used the swarm script of Apotheus Silverman.

I changed a few parameters and the behavior or state (flex or not flex)of the rootprim to get some control over the swarm.
Still every moment hundreds go off sim and end up in Lost an found folder.
The Cubes are 10m x 10m x 10m and each edge is formed by a 10 x 0.2 x 0.2 m Prim . The Swarm traveled over 2 sims (a sim is 256x256x4096m ) the day later it seemed they used all 20 sims :-) .
Pic I took on October 30, 2007, to promote my first SL enterprise, Cubes 'R' Us. It was not a marked success.
Based on an online tutorial - took me more than a year to get around to finishing it. Once I made the cube, Chris wanted me to make the missing inside part. I can be inserted but it takes a lot of coaxing.
