A swarm of cubes after the Cube Project.
In a short period when the LEA AIR sims where free for a night and a day, i could test some more Cube swarms.
I didn't keep count but in total i used 7500 prims / 12 = 625 cubes = 5 x 5 x 5 x 5. Here you can see some images, but it would be better to film it, to see the behavior.
I used the swarm script of Apotheus Silverman.

I changed a few parameters and the behavior or state (flex or not flex)of the rootprim to get some control over the swarm.
Still every moment hundreds go off sim and end up in Lost an found folder.
The Cubes are 10m x 10m x 10m and each edge is formed by a 10 x 0.2 x 0.2 m Prim . The Swarm traveled over 2 sims (a sim is 256x256x4096m ) the day later it seemed they used all 20 sims :-) .

I used to have a 2-in-1 printer that comes with flatbed scanner. The printer died on me, and beyond saving; I kept the machine for a while because I wanted the scanner.
Now, I do have another business laser printer/scanner in higher resolution which is attached to the husband's computer since it is his. I also have my own laser printer, just not the scanner.
It's very troublesome to use his scanner and we can't set up the network sharing feature. I rolled back to take the sketches with camera, and it sometimes tilts. :(

XGL in action on my ThinkPad X41 - it's really working pretty flawlessly, at least much better than I would expect. I'm using Beryl manager.

All packed and ready to move to my new cube on Monday. I'm working under a new manager. He wants me to sit closer to the team. I am actually moving to a cube that I've sat in before.
ZEN MAGNETS - Neodymium Magnetic Balls (@432) - Transforming Cube Variations

This is formed using a variation of my magnet origami oval subunit technique. It forms an eye shape instead. It uses a 3-layer hexagon (36-ball).
(1) Start with the hexagon.
(2) Pinch two of the 4-ball edges together separating the 2-ball tip ,,, the eye shape will form.
(3) Turn over and push the two ball pair towards the center till they click in place.
(4) Turn back over and pinch the eye 3-ball corners into a tight triangle tip.
(@432) - V1 = (12 x 36-ball eye subunits)
(@432) - V2 = (12 x 36-ball eye subunits) but with the outside eye 2-ball pairs pinched to the center to form tiny bridges. These bridges will form the round face look.
