This HDR image came from sunset photos taken last January during a PhotoMorroBay outing. Howard Ignatius, who was one of the leaders of our group, ran over to two nearby horseback riders and asked them to ride into our view of the sunset. They obliged, making a great photo opportunity. I took several bracketed shots for HDR, but when I processed them with Photomatix Pro and Photoshop CS4 I couldn’t consolidate the riders (they were moving all the time) resulting in ghosted images. The new Photoshop CS5 HDR Pro program has resolved this problem. It has an option for removing ghosts. After processing the multiple images, it selects one to freeze the action. If it selects the wrong one you have the option to select any of the others. Great job CS5!

And here's the second one that I'll post of Matthew today before I move on to other things. Two other things that I want to mention about him: he's a theater guy and will be majoring in theater at Texas State University (he credits his acting background for his ease with posing for the camera), and he's quite a polite young man (he said "yes sir" more times than I can count).
We stopped off for a few shots in the old downtown area of Freeport. I've shot a few times in the old downtown area of Lake Jackson, and I've found that these places are good for shooting because they have some older-style storefronts, unique walls, columns, bold colors, etc., and there's really not very many people around on the weekends (at least in these two towns).
lighting info: SB-900 & SB-600 camera right, shoot-through umbrella; triggered via PocketWizards (Mini TT1 w/ AC3 zone controller, & Flex TT5s).
Post-processing done with Capture NX2 (w/Color Efex Pro 3), and Photoshop CS5.
