Abbotsbury Swannery is the only place in the world where you are able to walk through the heart of a colony of nesting Mute Swans. A visit to this beautiful place is considered to be one of the best things to do in Dorset.
The Swannery was established by Benedictine Monks who built a monastery at Abbotsbury during the 1040s. The monks farmed the swans to produce food for their lavish Dorset banquets. St Peter’s monastery was destroyed in 1539, during the dissolution. Some of the ruins are still visible around St Nicolas’ Church in the village. Since that time, the Swannery has been under the stewardship of the Ilchester Estates.

Always thought this place was named Audi.
*Great place with nice prices.
**To the gentleman who refused to take his quarter back: Thank you for your generosity, I passed it on to another lady who needed it.
Having so much fun with the Epson 3880 these days! Especially with the black and white prints! \(^O^)/

This rusty doorway at the Wool Warehouse in Evans Bay Wellington, New Zealand caught my eye. I captured it with my Nikon D3100 DSLR camera in RAW format and post processed it with Adobe Photoshop CS5. I made the composition symetrical and square. Symmetry is just pleasing to the eye. I was inspired by H.R. Giger's Passage series of works. Where do you think this doorway leads to...?
They have great 100% wool ugg boots at the Wool Warehouse. I purchased a set for my daughter. No more cold feet this winter for her.
I havent spent much time on flickr the past few weeks, I got sick about four weeks back and have been dealing with my illness everyday. I have a blood clot in my left leg, it in the superficial vein but its about 10" long. I can tell you now its been horrible pain at times, Ive been shot in the left shoulder by a shotgun and I dont remember it hurting as much as this has. On top of the painful clot Ive had 30 to 40 shots in my stomach to thin my blood so that the clot will disolve, for the past few weeks Ive had two shot a day and I have about three weeks of shots left to take. My stomach is so bruised and tender, I dont which hurts more now my stomach or my leg. Between going to work and then the doctors everyday and the fatigue I get from the shots I havent had much energy left for anything else. Ive made it out a few times here and there to snap some photos and Im still learning and enjoying CS5 as much as I can. Im sorry I havent spent much time on here keeping up with every one, but as soon as I get to feeling better I will catch up. I hope to start uploading a few of the images I took recently and catching up little bits here and there.
I hope everyone enjoys, thanks for looking.

While driving to Dayton with my fiance, I spotted this abandoned meijer. I had no idea that there was one so close to where I live. It started to rain shortly after this photo, so I will definitely have to go back for more shots.

I have no clue as to ID at the moment. I was supposed to be clearing the garden of nettles but got distracted immediately. Fortunately my camera batteries died or nothing would get done :P

Undoubtedly, the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St Peter in York, better known as the York Minster, impresses the visitor with its dimensions and its detailed decoration. The wide nave, the stained glass windows, the astronomical clock, the chapter house, the noblemen tombs,... justify the last penny of the entrance ticket. Obviuosly, enjoying the southwestern facade is completely free, but this is no reason to shot a nice pano of it...
