Rail crossing at High Street before the bridge was built, looking north. Some of the buildings on the left remain, but the buildings on the right are where the bridge is now.
Passed this hundreds of times before noticing it wasn't just a fence. On the very disused Warrington and Altrincham Junction Railway (I think) where it crosses the A6144 in Carrington.
I had just parked and was walking and all of a sudden I see these ducks crossing a city street! I had my camera, but was too far away and I didn't want to get too close to scare them anyhow ;- )
At least they had crossed legally at a stop sign!! Which is more than I can say for some of human jaywalkers! ;- )

Crossing the Loughor Estuary at Loughor, West Wales,UK...At low tide the stumps of the former road bridge supports are exposed upstream of the 1988 replacement road bridge and the two year old railway bridge being crossed by a Coradia class 175 mdu .
It was necessary to cross the Makaroro River just before getting to the road-end. (The van was literally parked 50 metres from the other side.)
A random snapshot of the Catfish Lane grade crossing near the Fair River on the former New Orleans Great Northern Railroad's main line, now Canadian National Railway's Bogalusa Subdivision in rural northern Lawrence County, Mississippi.
Catfish Lane serves as a connection between the old and new alignments of MS 27.
It looks like there will be some railroad tie replacement work ahead within the near future with the sight of that pile of new creosote timber ties.
One of the old buildings at the Crossing Inn, now used for recycling aluminium cans by purchasing them from collectors. The Crossing Inn is in Fitzroy Crossing at the site of the old Fitzroy River Crossing. S34426

Crossing Mnisose (“minne-show-she”) tells the story of one of America's first feminists, Sacajawea, and draws a line from a completely original view of Lewis and Clark to the present day, as descendants of the Dakota and Lakota Nations continue their fight for the Mnisose (or what Europeans named the “Missouri River”) and the lands that contain the burials of their ancestors. From celebrated playwright, activist, and attorney Mary Kathryn Nagle (Cherokee Nation), whose Manahatta captivated audiences at Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

When car shopping a couple of years ago, I only considered cars where it was easy to cross from the driver's seat to the passenger's seat. I was specifically thinking of situations like this at the auto tour at my local refuge, where I saw a family of river otters to the right of the car and the best views were from the passenger seat.
Thankfully crossing over is easy to do in the Subaru Crosstrek we bought and I was able to watch the otters for quite a while as they groomed and played and ate. I was struck by how, even in the midst of vigorous play, the siblings would catch a fish when the opportunity presented itself and enjoy a quick snack before resuming play.
