Crossing the street is serious business in Havana. Designated cross-walks are almost non-existent and the drivers don't even attempt to brake for you - they do have the general courtesy to honk the horn though.

When I see this I'm thankful for East European common sense, and a break from tedious West European health & safety rules that would make you walk twice as far to cross the rails some other way.

Monsieur Beaver at Reinstein. Holy crap we were so excited to see this scene unfold right before our very eyes just four feet away from us. We watched as the beaver swam to the shore and started to walk up the tiny little bank onto the path and to the other side (where there's an opening in the brush to another pond).
First time EVER seeing something like this - especially this close to us. We stood as still as possible, but I was still able to capture about a dozen or so photos.

Next up: Catching a glimpse (and some photos) of the all elusive fox, which I have yet to see.
See this guy, he was looking at me weird, as I walked up closer to him I saw that he was fake.

Sasquatch crossing sign
In North American folklore, Bigfoot or Sasquatch is a hairy, upright-walking, ape-like creature who reportedly dwells in the wilderness and leaves behind footprints. Strongly associated with the Pacific Northwest individuals claim to see the creature across North America. Over the years, the creature has inspired numerous commercial ventures and hoaxes.
Folklorists trace the figure of Bigfoot to a combination of factors and sources, including folklore surrounding the European wild man figure, folk belief among Native Americans and loggers, and a cultural increase in environmental concerns.[
A majority of mainstream scientists have historically discounted the existence of Bigfoot, considering it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than a living animal. Wikiedia
