Water crossing - We landed at this point and as usual made Kavitha walk across this so she could get some shots. She almost got lost footing once because of the force of the current. And after that it was one after another across.

In Ketchikan, Alaska there were guards to stop traffic for the visitors from the tour ships. I guess they think we might act like a group of elementary school children --- In my case they assumed correctly!

The set of tracks seen in this video where the CN crosses the BN is know as "Broadway". See a BN train waiting to cross our tracks after just crossing the Mississippi river. If you look carefully you may can pick out the bridge on the horizon.

Crossing the street is serious business in Havana. Designated cross-walks are almost non-existent and the drivers don't even attempt to brake for you - they do have the general courtesy to honk the horn though.
When I see this I'm thankful for East European common sense, and a break from tedious West European health & safety rules that would make you walk twice as far to cross the rails some other way.
