Crossing Mnisose (“minne-show-she”) tells the story of one of America's first feminists, Sacajawea, and draws a line from a completely original view of Lewis and Clark to the present day, as descendants of the Dakota and Lakota Nations continue their fight for the Mnisose (or what Europeans named the “Missouri River”) and the lands that contain the burials of their ancestors. From celebrated playwright, activist, and attorney Mary Kathryn Nagle (Cherokee Nation), whose Manahatta captivated audiences at Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

The weathered planks of the road crossing on the elevator track at Higgins, Texas reveal far more wear from ranch trucks and Cadillacs than from railcars.
The Queensferry Crossing is due to open in 2017. The stunning, globally unique bridge forms the centrepiece of a major upgrade to the important cross-Forth transport corridor in the east of Scotland, representing a total Scottish Government investment of £1.325 to £1.35bn (at 2016 prices). The 1.7 miles (2.7km) structure will be the longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world and also by far the largest to feature cables which cross mid-span. This innovative design provides extra strength and stiffness, allowing the towers and the deck to be more slender and elegant.

Weather change... and it started to snow and now it is clearing. Somewhere in Alberta on the 2rd day of my journey across Canada by VIA train. October 2018.
The window are not very clean so the photos are not that good. Also the train was speeding along at times and really bumpy. I have put all the photos I took on my journey on Flickr as a record of my trip.

View of the historic McDonald Crossing on the lower John Day Wild and Scenic River, from the BLM Rock Creek Recreation Site, May 27, 2017, by Greg Shine, BLM.
Thousands of immigrants traveling west on the Oregon Trail used the shallow river ford, known today as McDonald Crossing (on the western, Sherman County side) or the John Day Crossing (on the eastern, Gilliam County side), to traverse the lower John Day River on their way to the Willamette Valley and lands beyond. Today, it is a small but important part of the Oregon National Historic Trail.
Just upriver from the historic crossing is the BLM’s Rock Creek Recreation Site, on Lower Rock Creek Road. It’s a perfect day-use location for riverside fishing, picnicking, and boat launching.
