Taken from Severn Beach shortly after buying the Sony A77 and DT 16-50mm f2.8 lens in 2012, recently converted to B&W using Silver Efex Pro and processed with DxO Photolab 4 to bring it up to date.
The Second Severn Crossing, officially renamed the Prince of Wales Bridge since July 2018, is the M4 motorway bridge over the River Severn between England and Wales, inaugurated on 5 June 1996 by the Prince of Wales to supplement the traffic capacity of the Severn Bridge built in 1966.
Crossing the Wysox Creek, Conrail train ALCG approaches the town of the same name in north central Pennsylvania.
A set of circumstances lead to CN A401 making a rare daylight run north out of Garnet. On top of that they had one of 2 SD40-2Ws that were retrofitted for LNG testing as their leader. Here they are crossing the Grand River in Caledonia, one of the more iconic scenes on the Hagersville Subdivision. They would later drop the trailing unit in London making for a solo run to Sarnia, and what would turn into a day long chase to Sarnia.
Train: CN A401 with CN 5261 (SD40-2W) and CN 2195 (C40-8W).

The sheep seem confused. "Where are you going?" they say to the deer. The deer ignore them and head for the fence, and the road. "You're not allowed there" the sheep call after them, but the deer have gone. "That's bad" muttered one of the sheep to the other. "No respect. Who do they think they are, so entitled?"
Overhead shot of a crossing in the evening light. I love the interplay of light & shadow creating lines to complement the road markings and furniture.
What are your thoughts?
Starke Florida, a very old Florida small town know for their passion in motorsports. Drone shot over a railway crossing. The coolest thing sometimes are finding a path you never thought you'd find. Happy summer all you Flickrs ✌️😎
Perfect morning to photograph something crossing what I think of as the Mickey Mouse lift bridge over the St. Croix River in Prescott, Wisconsin. BNSF 5863 leads mixed freight over the bridge at the confluence of the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers along the former CB&Q. Another spot I have not shot in many years, mostly because I swing through here later in the day when the sun swings to the west. I think of Prescott as a morning photo spot.
Goodbye Nacho...I'm sad that you had to leave. I'm grateful for your presence in my life - your support, unwaivering kindness and generosity. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself - both through your images and your words. You touched many people with your generous words of support and encouragement, as well as with your inspirational photos. You will certainly be missed.

Further along the footpath there is a wooden footbridge over the stream. I must admit I like exploring somewhere new!

Cottage Crossing featuring GWR Small Prairie No. 4555.
The crossing was formerly manned, with the house having been built as a residence for a crossing keeper. It originally connected the Upper and Lower Forges in Eardington. (SVR Wiki)
The cottage is now the home of two working SVR members. (Bill and Paula)
Another look back to when Colas was in charge of delivering imported coal to Aberthaw. Here 70813 is caught crossing the fly-over at Llandevenny. Working is 4C21 Aberthaw Power Station - Avonmouth.
The Severn Bridge (Welsh: Pont Hafren), sometimes also called the Severn-Wye Bridge is a motorway suspension bridge spanning the River Severn and River Wye between Aust, South Gloucestershire (just north of Bristol) in England, and Chepstow, Monmouthshire in South East Wales, via Beachley, Gloucestershire, a peninsula between the two rivers. It is the original Severn road crossing between England and Wales and took three and half years[3] to construct at a cost of £8 million.[4] It replaced the Aust ferry.
The bridge was opened on 8 September 1966, by Queen Elizabeth II, who hailed it as the dawn of a new economic era for South Wales. The bridge was granted Grade I listed status on 26 November 1999.[5]
Historically, I would argue that there were four great railroad crossings of the Cascade Range in the Pacific Northwest - Stevens, Snoqualmie and Stampede Passes in Washington, along with Pengra Pass in Oregon. In May 1987, I spent my first day taking pictures on Southern Pacific's Cascade crossing, southernmost of the four.
Our excuse for the outing was an NRHS Amtrak special that would be making a rare daytime ascent of the pass from the Willamette Valley. When we arrived in the area after a drive from Klamath Falls, the first train we encountered was this westman crossing Salt Creek Trestle near Heather siding. A recent spate of logging had cleared this vista.
Both motorists and railfans are familiar with this bridge. When winter driving conditions on Oregon Highway 58 deteriorate, a parking area under the trestle is where drivers stop to add or remove tire chains.
Witth the day progressing the streams become turbulent.....we were crossing one such stream on trek to Hampta Pass in Himachal Pradesh, India

CLNA 119 crosses Runyon Creek in Washington, NC, with a pair of CLNAs' relatively new GP15 locomotives painted to represent the heritage of the Original Norfolk Southern. This railroad once ran on current-day CLNA tracks.
