Deseret Power Railway’s afternoon coal train from Deserado Mine near Rangley, Colorado, to the power plant in Bonanza, Utah, crosses remote and stark Coyote Basin just past milepost 26 east of Bonanza on the afternoon of June 21, 2023.
Lighting conditions were far from ideal in the hazy, smoggy, harsh midday sun of Feb.

With the traffic on the A92, Dundee to Aberdeen main road; in the background the mid-morning ScotRail "Inter7City" service from Aberdeen to Glasgow Queen Street crosses Lunan Water Viaduct led #43131 and with #43150 providing power at the rear.

Mass Coastal 2011 (ex-NH FL9M) crosses the Cape Cod Canal with a passenger special on the 544’ long vertical lift bridge built in 1935 for the New Haven Railroad.
The soldiers arrive in the dead of night,
making their way to the crossing,
It's gone 3am and the dead black sky cast not a shadow.
Muskets are fired and bayonnets fixed as the battle commences,
not one will survive this blood thirsty night, and all hope is lost forever.
Many years from now,
people will come here,
to visit this passage,
where 9000 men and all of their horses, perished forever.

NHN extra 1801 has just finished switching the train around at Hayes to continue back north to Union for the Heritage Days. They would stay there a little over two hours before continuing back to Ossipee to put the train away. Here they are crossing Milton Pond into Milton, New Hampshire after briefly passing through Lebanon, Maine.

The Severn Bridge (Welsh: Pont Hafren), sometimes also called the Severn-Wye Bridge is a motorway suspension bridge spanning the River Severn and River Wye between Aust, South Gloucestershire (just north of Bristol) in England, and Chepstow, Monmouthshire in South East Wales, via Beachley, Gloucestershire, a peninsula between the two rivers. It is the original Severn road crossing between England and Wales and took three and half years[3] to construct at a cost of £8 million.[4] It replaced the Aust ferry.
The bridge was opened on 8 September 1966, by Queen Elizabeth II, who hailed it as the dawn of a new economic era for South Wales. The bridge was granted Grade I listed status on 26 November 1999.[5]

My favorite shot from early this morning and therefore my second ever attempt at shooting the Milky Way galactic core. By the time I shot this one "astro dark" had given way to "civil twilight" but I rather like the resulting tones, even if the core was a bit less visible. The light pollution is from Reno Nevada I believe as this shot was captured in the western Nevada desert, not far from the California line. Decent start for a nightscape noob, if I say so myself :)
