This is what each of the headphones looks like the first time you open up the carrying cases (after the unboxings). Notice that the M-80 (on the left) has easily removable paper covers on the earcups, whereas the V-80 does not. I suspect it is because the V-80 has two painted red hex bolts per side (representing vampire bites), which may be hand-painted on after the paper covers are removed. (Again, I don't know for sure, but it's what I suspect.)
Also notice that the included cables are different. The M-80 comes with one single-button mic/remote cable, and one three-button mic/remote cable. The V-80 comes with one single-button mic/remote cable and one plain audio-only cable.
Both come with carabiners that can be clipped to a mounting point on the outside of each case. Both have two removable elastic strap accessory/cable organizers inside the carrying case.
From the Masquerade Ball at Comc Con 2008. So many people want to watch that it completely fills up and they have to heard excess people into viewing rooms in the convention center that broadcast the ball on big screen TVs (hence the picture quality as its a photo of a screen).

The build quality and fit-and-finish are evident in the closeup. It's a gorgeous headphone.
The True Blood logo is evident up close, but rather subdued even at a mild distance.
Dedicated to new music. We presents you this weeks BEST 10-20 new albums streamed and updated regulary in 4 listening booths

I present to you: the tangentsoft (and built by me) PPA v1 headphone amplifier inside an old 1U audio rackmount box.
a lot more wires are neater, now. the bass control (small knob) now is wired in and works!
2 safety 2ohm resistors were put in series with the headphones output jack (to protect, a little, against shorting when removing the plug).
rear gold (expensive) rca jacks are now metal panel mounted.
this completes the last level of integration for v1.0. after this is planned a crossfade on/off option as well as an IR remote control option.
Odd precursor to the 12"; the same song is split across two sides, so I guess the DJ could buy two copies, put each side on their decks and crossfade between them.
My cousin Dave gave me this in about 1979.
You can see how close they are in appearance, and how subtle the differences are. The V-80's red inner headband is barely visible when worn (and will be completely obscured by fuller heads of hair).
Again, the build quality and finish is evident in these photos. Though only time tells the true story of a product's durability, these headphones do seem very durably built.

I know you're feeling like you're lost,
You feel you've drifted way too far,
Did you know these colors that you’re shining are,
Surely not the best colors that you shine.
Surely not the best colors that you shine.

One of the pieces Maine Squeeze did was w/ Barb Truex (who has a show on Wednsdays called Crossfade on WMPG)
on this beautiful old little banjo ukulele. Barb is found in the loopin' set besides being an active composer, sound designer, & teacher here in the southern Maine area.

Barb Truex has several releases of her own out, for info on her latest disc ; Scene & Heard, you can go Here OR Here
I was invited by Mario and Amar to embarass myself behind the decks so I did. Again
it was confirmed, that I'm far better mixer when I don't really care and prepare, just doing an odd crossfade every now and then. The pain (again) was lack of tracks I could chose from, Even though I knew that it's comming I did not quite select too many. Next time it will be better.
strobist info: SB-600 top left from the mixer.

Parry Peak timelapse. Photos gratefully appropriated from Winter Park's Picnic Rock webcam, Edited in Sony Vegas Platinum... clearly I have a lot to learn about transitions and crossfades and all that!
Boooo, I went over Flickr's time limit and the end got cut off a bit. It was the climax, the best part! No really!
Music: Feel, Thievery Corporation remix
The V-MODA Crossfade M-80's carrying case has a plain black metal zipper pull; the V-80 has a "True Blood" blood vial zipper pull. (I know it looks like there's blood-colored liquid in that zipper pull, but it's actually solid.)
It's been a few days since I've uploaded anything or even been on Flickr.
On the 19th I saw my favorite band....ever; Crossfade.
It was amazing, just like always. The microphones didn't work, but they didn't let that stop them from putting on a great show.
This is Ed, one of my favorite people in the world. He is the lead singer.

Despite the lighting making them look a little different, they're exactly the same (the earcups), except for the two red-painted hex bolts on each of the V-80 earcups, representing vampire bites. Even if you're not a True Blood fan, you might like the two contrasting red hex bolts per side.
With the black inner headband and all-black earcups, the M-80 does look a touch more subtle and sinister.
I took this a year ago today...the first time I saw them. I'm seeing them again on the 19th. (this will be my 3rd time) So get ready for a lot more Crossfade shots. I'm so excited!

On this part of the desk you could select one of several backup shortwave feeds, crossfade between feeds and notch out hetrodynes.
Back for a second year, this event explored the importance of creating your brand as a musical artist, provided guidance on how companies can create authentic brand experiences using music, and explained how to harness the power of digital innovation to secure bigger and better partnerships between bands and brands. The Summit included Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town and reps from Atlantic, Maverick, Chevy, Cracker Barrel, Crossfade Partners, Mastercard, Nielsen, Roc Nation, Vevo, Yeti, Warner and more.
