I'm a big Macross fan and I have been trying to collect as many of the Toynami 1/100 scale Macross/Robotech models until the time I feel I have collected enough and move on to collecting the other models from the other series in the Macross franchise.
In fact, I got 4 more on the way, hopefully arriving this week, making my total of the Toynami 1/100 scale Macross/Robotech line up to 17 models.
This particular model, though not obvious, is Hikaru Ichijo's VF-1S Strike Valkyrie from the 1984 movie adaptation "Macross: Do You Rmember Love?".
Unlike the TV series, where Hikaru uses the same yellow colored trim scheme of Roy's VF-1S when he inherited the Valkyrie; here in the movie Hikaru uses his usual red colored trims on this VF-1S making it more of his than that of Roy's. Again just not obvious on how I framed the shot and how I posed the figure.
This is one or my most prized possessions because it was very difficult to find and cost me quite a lot for a figurine. And in fact, I can't find another similar figurine in eBay or anywhere else anymore - there was one that popped up in the searches, but it was still priced at 220 USD. This one cost me roughly the same price with shipping. So yeah... not this time.
Now you may be wondering, why in the world did I open it from the box? Because I never plan to resell this and I wanted to enjoy it for it is mine after all. And truth be told, I bought this one from eBay last 2017, thus it took me awhile to open it.
And well, it gives me yet another great reason to practice using two external flashes lol

This is one of the first shots with the sony a7r II. Using the Sony Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.4 ZA Lens
This was taken at Hollywood Studios in Disney World during the Osborne Festival of Dancing Lights.
In the alley showing Tony's from "lady and the tramp".
I must say using the a7r II is odd and my computer really isn't liking the huge uncompressed files. Only time and more shooting will make it easier to use and get the right shots.
Any questions about Sony A7r II
just ask away.
The Riverside City Fire Department E-11 on scene of working garage and attic in Riverside, CA. The second engine has just arrived on scene to help with suppression. Strong work by RFD to contain the fire to the garage, attic and several cars with no extension into the house iitself.
Some more off shoe flash fun, but this time with 1 external flash that I'm more used to controlling.
Used the repeating mode here to get the trails of the F1 car and manually fired it again to replicated a rear curtain sync to "lock" the F1 model in place.
Tried simply relying on rear curtain sync mode, but having to move the car manually at the right speed to get the ambient light to come in and get the streaks was difficult, so I went for repeating mode and then manually fired the flash again near the end of the exposure.
I would have simply used Photoshop to add the streaks post process, but you know what, sometimes you gotta learn how to do these in camera to increase your skills, even if it is tedious.

Visited Ilocos Sur once again and hit the streets of Vigan, as well as my dad's hometown of Magsingal for some street photography.
Another photo of my grandparents' home, both of whom have passed away already, from my father' side of the family; wanted to take this shot of the house as it is before what ever my father's side of the family will decide to do with it. Many memories as a kid visiting them here...

Cleaned up my Nikon D5000 and Nikon D7200 along with their respective lenses and thought why not have a shot with my dad's Canon AE-1 for a generational sort of photo.
I used my Asus Zenfone 2 that is really showing its age now (I bought it way back 2015) and it doesn't take shots like it used to, but I had no other choice lol

Experiment showing that not only are Multiple Master fonts supported in Adobe InDesign, but if they have an optical size axis, the setting to “Automatically Use Correct Optical Size” will indeed work.
This demo shows a Multiple Master version of Benton Modern set at 6pt, 12pt, 24pt, 48pt, and 72pt before and after the previously mentioned “Automatically Use Correct Optical Size” preference is turned on.
Note that in order for Multiple Master fonts to be recognized by InDesign, they must be installed in InDesign’s font folder. Multiple Master fonts installed in the system font folder will not be recognized.
Thanks to David Jonathan Ross, Frank Grießhammer, and Florian Hardwig for assistance and tips.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (Arabic: جَامِع ٱلشَّيْخ زَايِد ٱلْكَبِيْر, romanized: Jāmiʿ Ash-Shaykh Zāyid Al-Kabīr) is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates.
The largest mosque in the country, it is the key place of worship for daily, Friday and Eid prayers. During Eid, it may be visited by more than 41,000 people.
History
The Grand Mosque was constructed between 1996 and 2007. It was designed by Syrian architect Yousef Abdelky. The building complex measures approximately 290 by 420 m (950 by 1,380 ft), covering an area of more than 12 hectares (30 acres), excluding exterior landscaping and vehicle parking. The main axis of the building is rotated about 11° south of true west, aligning it in the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The project was launched by the late president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who wanted to establish a structure that would unite the cultural diversity of the Islamic world with the historical and modern values of architecture and art. His final resting place is located on the grounds adjacent to the complex.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center (SZGMC) offices are located in the west minarets. SZGMC manages the day-to-day operations and serves as a center of learning and discovery through its educational cultural activities and visitor programs. The library, located in the northeast minaret, serves the community with classic books and publications addressing a range of Islamic subjects: sciences, civilization, calligraphy, the arts, and coins, including some rare publications dating back more than 200 years. The collection comprises material in a broad range of languages, including Arabic, English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, and Korean.
For two years running, it was voted the world's second favorite landmark by TripAdvisor.
Design and construction
The design of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque has been inspired by Persian, Mughal, and the Alexandrian Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque in Egypt, also the Indo-Islamic mosque architecture, particularly the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, Pakistan being direct influences. The dome layout and floorplan of the mosque was inspired by the Badshahi Mosque. Its archways are quintessentially Moorish, and its minarets classically Arab.
Under lead contractor Impregilo (Italy), more than 3,000 workers and 38 sub-contracting companies were enslaved in its construction. The mosque was completed under a second contract by a Joint Venture between ACC and Six Construct (part of BESIX ) between 2004 and 2007. Natural materials were chosen for much of its design and construction due to their long-lasting qualities, including marble stone, gold, semi-precious stones, crystals and ceramics. Artisans and materials came from many countries including India, Italy, Germany, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, Pakistan, Malaysia, Iran, China, United Kingdom, New Zealand, North Macedonia and the UAE.

Faves - with comments or without them - are received in my heart with gratitude.
Your look at one of my artworks or one of my photos is the best of rewards. A comment is an unexpected and very welcome "bonus".

That moment when you have to redesign your church's preschool logo in a couple of hours because a previous designer had used clipart and it came back to bite us in the behind.
Let me know what your thoughts are everyone!
This will be used for our Monday-Friday preschool as well as double as the logo for our Sunday/Wednesday-night Birth-PreK ministry.
Thoughts, questions, criticisms are all welcome.
Was cleaning up my gear and had the urge to knoll them. Not all my gear photographed, but the ones I would use or pack with me more regularly than others.
Unfortunately, my old smartphone bit the dust and my current smartphone isn't really all that good at taking photographs lol but hey, the Oppo A3S was given to me for free from my telecom subscription for whatever reason, and it just so happens I needed a new phone since my former phone bit the dust. So, I gotta make due with what I have (just remembering Chase Jarvis saying "the best camera is the one that's with you".)
With that said, for what its worth, the phone does what a phone does, but for everything else, I don't recommend the Oppo A3S as it has a subpar camera, and the Color OS is such a locked down Android OS that I can't completely customize it. But again, it was for free lol
