We create material things for the sake of art...we study the colors, the textures, the materials used, the forms, the subject...when our greatest art teacher is God Our Creator...when we have been given God-given Nature to appreciate...and when we appreciate the God-made art in nature...then eventually we yearn to protect it...rather than making material things for daily use, decorative, or self-glorification...but we take the path of Our Creator who blessed us with art for free...and in turn we learn to make material things artistically...to share and give these generously to others...then Holy Virtues of Love becomes an art...being creative in doing good deeds for others...

Creating a piece of land art with interaction form local school children on Coney beach Porthcawl alongside events from Porthcawl Lifeguards. 25 June 2010.
We design and create fairy houses, dollhouses, fairy furniture and dollhouse miniatures for all variety of magical beings :). All products are lovingly crafted in our woodland studio using forest bits and fairy dust (which was acquired some time ago)... All items are 1:12 scale, that is 1" = 1'.

They work in helping other companies to improve, innovate and evolve in terms of technology according to people's specific needs.
They have worked with important clients such as Adobe, Yahoo, Amway, Panasonic, Ebay, IBM among others.
They ask me to illustrate their 2010 bussiness calendar. The topic, of course, people.
Different people=different aproach to technology.

I really wanted the rustic texture of the door to be the focal point of this image so I created a third painted layer set to soft light and painted on just the door. That brought out all kinds of interesting colors. I also really like what the texture set to hard light did to the image. I love those little rusty bits and the rough texture. I am sure having fun with this Marie!

Faces To Go With Names is an immersive experience that pays tribute to Iowa’s fallen heroes by sharing their stories. Working closely with Waterloo, Iowa’s Grout Museum District, Ideum created this dynamic, interactive memorial for The Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum. The exhibit is based on Vietnam veteran Tom Brickman’s research compiling photos of and stories about each of Iowa’s 853 fallen Vietnam veterans.
Ideum's Creative Services designed and developed the Faces To Go With Names interactive. It is displayed on an Ideum Presenter 65 multitouch wall.
The current version of Faces To Go With Names is on display in the temporary 365 & Counting: Iowans in the Vietnam War exhibit at The Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veteran's Museum. A permanent version of Faces To Go With Names with additional features, along with two more Ideum interactives, will debut in the permanent Vietnam War exhibit in July 2016.

There are 8 photos that show how I sawed off teeth from a 52-teeth Sugion chainring, filed the cuts, then cleaned and installed the newly-created "bash guard" onto my Yuba Mundo to 1) Protect the chain and chainring, and 2) Close the gap between the chainring and the chain guard that still allowed my pants to get caught.

The Television Academy Hosts An Afternoon of Tea, Scones and Chatting with Downton Abbey Cast and Creators at Paramount Studios.
aturday afternoon with the creative team and cast members of Downton Abbey at Paramount Studios for a behind-the-scenes look at this Primetime Emmy-winning PBS drama created by Julian Fellowes and co-produced by Carnival Films and Masterpiece.
Now in its fourth season, the series is set in the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey and depicts the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the post-Edwardian era. The most intriguing part of this series is that it incorporates events in history that have an impact on their lives and on the British social hierarchy.
For this special event hosted by the Television Academy at Paramount studios, guests were treated to a lovely tea and scone tea party before entering the theater for the panel and live stream event. You can watch the replay courtesy of the Television Academy below. We were fortunate enough to attend not only as press but as a member of the Academy and thoroughly enjoyed this event.

Title: "Words of the Aftermath”

What is your artwork about?
In the center is a free-hand machine embroidered iconic picture of the ruins of the twin towers. Glow-in-the-dark thread was used so in darkness the image appears almost ghostly. Words are all around the image (drifting like the reams of paper floating down after the bombing). The words include feelings, vocabulary, and ideas expressed in the aftermath of 9-11. Many of the words were taken from the letter I wrote to myself one week after the tragedy. Some words are bold and others are faint in an effort to entice the viewer to look closely at the piece? Around the border of the quilt are the names of some of the victims: male and female, common and unusual, representing those who died in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania, and across nationalities. It is quilted in a plain grid pattern designed to evoke strength.
It is simple, somber, and I hope powerful. It was a great honor to make this panel and I'm glad The Dream Rocket Project offered such a wonderful opportunity.
It is a pleasure to continue to see all of the new panels and watch as the panels travel around the country bringing the messages of the participants and the project to many people. And, as always, communicating with you is a joy.

I was annoyed that I couldn't find Sikh smilies that I liked on Sikh forums. Being resourceful, at the urging of the Administration of Sikh Philosophy Network - www.sikhphilosophy.net/ , I created a whole family. Sister is available with or without her scarf. Personally, I think girls as well as boys should be patkaed, if we really do believe in gender equality, but who am I? Anyway, I think they are fun and maybe a bit cute.
