A skillfull pilot managed to set down his Cessna 172E with minimal space on the 4th's hole's teebox, rolling it into a bunker on the 3rd, a par 5 at Prestonwood Country Club's Hills course. Looks like he forgot to rake the sand after he got out.... :P

Bad crash at the summit Saturday afternoon. A motorist apparently crossed over from the southbound to northbound lanes and took out two other carloads of people.

This guy crashed while riding at a Sportbike Track Time "track day". You'll be happy to know that he was able to walk away from this one with only some bumps and bruises.
The final shot in this sequence www.flickr.com/photos/bigben1861/1348235431/ was posted in the Flickr Blog, and I realized that I had never posted the rest of the sequence...so her it is. I was using a Canon 1D MkII with 400mm f/2.8 + 1.4 TC (560mm equiv), which is why the crop keeps changing.
Went to the Nurburgring last Sunday; after the first minute or so, we witnessed a crash, so we waved the yellow flag until the real track safety arrived

This is now the 6th car crash outside my apartment since living here. The cause is always the same. One car going far too fast fails to stop at the 4 way stop sign.
Daily there are nearly hundreds of car crashes or people nearly run over by people we either dont see the stop sign (often covered by the tree), are going too fast before they see it or ignore it altogether. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are the worst. In fact Dodger (my dog) and I have nearly been run over at least 5 times.

Apparently a truck crashed into a light/electricity pole and snapped it in two. The top half of the pole hung upside down from its still attached cables. As the sun went down the still functioning street lamp turned on and cast its light upward into the trees.

car il ne fit heureusement aucune victime, …sauf l’appareil NC-701 de l’IGN, bien sûr.
Mais cet avion n’était pas de première jeunesse, puisqu’il avait fait la guerre, en tant que bombardier, et avait bien résisté avant de tomber en temps de paix !

Warszawa w żałobie pod Pałacem Prezydenckim/Varsovie en deuil devant le Palais du President. Warsaw in mourning: Polish President Lech Kaczynski and dozens of others in a high-level delegation were killed Saturday when their plane crashed outside the western Russian city of Smolensk.
These two cars were involved in a collision in Barrow Town Centre early this afternoon.Miraculously,nobody was badly injured.
