Note the toothpaste green/black tile combo. Very retro (original retro, that is...) It's a little short on counterspace, but the freezer works, so I'm happy!

The cabinets were designed to bump out into living room opening in order to provide enough counterspace to left of stove. There will be a countertop pass through to living room

Get a load of these cupboards. Plenty of room to house my massive teacup and china collection. And ample counterspace! (A small child could bed down for the night on these counters.) And finally my blender can emerge from the shadows and display itself with pride.

crouton prefers the counterspace to the sofa in the hot weather.

Another "before" photo, courtesy of Anne Marie. This one really shows the previous lack of cabinets and counterspace. I think this must be from the first month or two after we bought the house.

This is the 'Oh no, it's almost bedtime and I haven't taken a picture today' picture. Yes, it's a tiny kitchen. No, there's really nothing more to it than this -- that's the corner with the outside wall over on the left.

The built-in icebox, which was probably original to the building, is really pretty nifty, though, as are the other space-saving features like the (completely unusable) ironing board and countertop that slides out to make more room.

It's still way too small, though.
