The fridge was moved to the opposite side of the kitchen and the stove was relocated. The added counterspace and storage mades this corner work well for the homeowner. The new cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances make this remodel everything that the homeowner was hoping for.

Malinda gave us these cooling racks.. They are the bomb! I can't wait to actually use them. They stack up so they don't take up too much counterspace.
Great modern cabinets with a frosted glass display section for dishware, plenty of room, decent counterspace with tiled surfaces, island with a built-in stainless gas range. Stainless dishwasher.

If i would move out of the way you could see our sink and the one foot by one foot square of counterspace which made up all of the counterspace in the whole apartment! It was a small kitchen. Actually the kitchen was probably more of an afterthought. You should have seen the bathroom!

Been trying to clean up one of the counterspaces/workspaces and declutter it but there's still so much that needs to find a better home.
So this is the kitchen as seen from the dining room. Door to the left opens into the hallway, moving clockwise are the appliances in front of the brick, stove, cabinets and refrigerator, counterspace, sink, door to the basement, window, coffee, window to the porch, and kitchen table (temporary)
Yes, the kitchen is that small. The calendar above Eli's monitor is hung on the side of the refridgerator. Yes, the trashcan has to be out in the way. Yes, that is all the counterspace we have. The stove is next to the fridge and has a cover so that expands the counterspace a bit.

The ample counter space in this kitchen is a dream. The soapstone is such a wonderful material, it withstands heat, won't stain, and can be refinished if need be. Roll your pie crust out directly on it!
clear off the kitchen cart to make room for the microwave. now we have so much more counterspace! still have to photograph the other side & rest of the kitchen.
HELP: I really want to paint the kitchen... and I wanted advice from ATers/Flickrs/Whoever, about paint colors that go with the kitchen counter tiles. I really wanted to go with a rustic reddish color but dunno if it would work with the counters.

I am thinking about switching places for the stove and the fridge. In order to have some counterspace beside the stove. It wouldn't cost very much to rewire the outlets.
That would also improve ventilation or even allow for a duct.
For next to the stove for now, I have a great wheeled cart with a butcher block worktop.
Vanity with custom cabinets and granite countertops. Offsetting the sink to one side of the counter leaves more counterspace which is especially helpful if you like to keep items on the counter.
