Shot with my Olympus TG-1 using the setting: Super LED Macro mode. It's a very cool macro mode and I really like the ability to light up the motif with the LED-light.
I'm sure some of you already know about this trick but I just tried it out for the first time today:
I turned my 50mm lens around and used it to take a macro photo. So cool!!!
I read about this on the Coffeeshop blog: www.thecoffeeshopblog.com/2010/09/coffeeshop-tutorial-mic...
I understand the risks associated with this (dust, dropping the lens, etc) and its not something I see myself doing very often but I wanted to at least try it out.
It seems there is a very small window to get the focus just right. I took 15 shots and got only one that was usable. Again, not something I will be doing often but still pretty cool.

Cool macro shot of some flower that was growing near some ivy. I was surprised at how well my little samsung point and shoot took this one. The yellow ring looks like a firework explosion to me.

Slide the entire thing inside the can and then try taking a pic. If the lens is level with the body cap it will make a cool macro. If it is not level, level it and then tape the top (lens side) so it doesn't move. If it was not level when you made it you will get a "Tilt Lens" effect where only the center is in total focus. See the rest of the Macro pics to see what I mean. The pics I took of the flies did NOT have the lens quite right and it was after I was done shooting them that I realized my mistake.
I love the pattern on his back here that the feathers make and of course his little orange feeties :-)

Nice day out in the fields with my camera, tried to get some cool macro snaps of flowers 'n bugs!
I think these five images turned out very well. Not bad at all for a compact! Hope you all like? I'm pretty impressed myself :)
