Macro of my CRT (yeah, ancient I know ;) ) monitor.
Created by handholding the 50mm with the front-end to the filter of my 70-200 f4 L getting this extremely small depth of field, but also a pretty cool macro functionality. There are some other pictures as well, check the set!
I opened up a faulty DVD player that we had lying around. The fault was not apparent. In fact, it seemed to be working fine.
While it was open, I took a bunch of cool macro shots, and a bunch of even cooler macro video, that I hope to edit together sometime soon.
looking at Honey Pie's pictures made me think i had this pic somewhere in my folders. Obrigada! ;)
i'm not too happy with the Pentax Optio W10, but it takes really cool macros

I dont care...call me nuts..but I like to take pics of small creatures..and if I had some better equipment you would be seeing some very cool macro's...but sense this is the best I can do with what I have ATM...it will have to do.
these were taking a beating in the last storm.....so I brought them in to enjoy. Also playing more with aperture priority and that oh so cool macro lens on loan. Feel like I'm getting back in my game now that I can do some macro work.
4/25/11 - On our final half day in Lisbon, we decided to hop on the famous 28 street car which provides a very cheap way to see many of the sites around Lisbon. I strategically positioned myself in the back of the car and went to town snapping pictures all over the place. I really love the way this one came out with some much going on in the photo: colors, people, depth, elevation, shadows, etc...
At the end of the line when they kicked everyone out, I also took a really cool macro of one of the old handles to hold onto in the middle of the street car. I was torn by which photo to choose for today's picture but this one was just a bit too dynamic not to choose. It really is an emblematic photo of the city of Lisbon.
Surprise visitor to the porch swing this morning. Sitting there with the poodle and coffee, wow a visitor. Have never seen one of the green frogs before. Definitely a cute little guy. Anyone know the name, anyway some cool macro's as a result.
Taken with one of my new toys, a set of Kenko Extension Tubes! These look like they will be pretty cool to mess around with... Can't wait to have time to set up some really cool macro shots.
During our visit to Papohaku Beach on Molokai, I think he was taking cool macro shots of the foam and sand.
{day 55}
This is a pencil sharpener.
It's really not a very good one, though.
But it makes for cool macro shots.
This is probably my favorite shot of these dozen roses...the white flowers look yellow in this picture, but the rose itself looks so awesome! I like it a lot :-)
This picture is of one of the roses in the dozen I bought my fiancée when I proposed!
And all she got was this silly picture....
A Hollyhock macro....No macro lens was used for this shot
Blue Horn Unicorn Katidid. This species differs from all known species of Copiphora.

I want to thank my flickr friend Neighbor Dave for the inspiration. He did some cool macro shots of his garden chives a week or so ago. I had to head out to our garden for a try.

Yes, I know, I summited this late again, fail.
I didn't think I had a bad idea going on here though. I used the 50mm lens from my old trusty Pentax K1000, and just simply put it over this one. Makes a cool macro effect.
But I thought this up at night, so lighting was poor.
I promise i'll take another really good shot like this soon!
