A collection of purse cookies I made as favors for a friend's daughter's 13th birthday.
I took inspiration from my favorite set of purse cookies ever... by Johnna (Polka-dot Zebra).
Mine aren't close to the detail of hers, but you'll see I took a stab at the red one.

Doing a little baking for christmas. I hope everyone's having a good time, and that you'll enjoy the holidays!
I don't have a recipe yet for these cookies, because it's one of my own recipes, and I'm still fiddling with it. The cookies are a cross between a sugar cookie and gingerbread. The filling is a lemon creme.
If there is any bakers out there, any tips on how to keep cookies from softening up when filling is added? I'm getting close, but I've no idea still how big cookie brands keep their cookies crisp around a creme filling.

Halloween sample designs that I felt inspired to do after trying out a new Chocolate Minichip Cookies recipe from the book "Sugarbakers' Cookie Cutter Cookbook". So good... I've been looking for a chocolate chip recipe and these are so good! I had to make all the designs "funny" or "happy" as instructed by my 3 yr old who doesn't like anything scary.

I have a couple of shows coming up that I wanted to have Mother's Day cookies boxed up and displayed for. I feel like I've been rushing so much lately, that now that they're photographed, I think I hurried them along too much. So I think I see a do-over in my future! :)
The teacup and dress were inspired by cookies that Polka Dot Zebra did. I am crazy in love with her set of cookies!

nikomaru cookies are baked by people who are affected by the japan earthquake. cookies are sold online (no english page, i'm afraid) and at some stores. i hope they can smile again like this soon.
I always love decorating cookies. We may not have all the traditional shapes and sizes but we know how to have fun and let our inner food artist be free and experimanet with colors, lines, form and who knows what will turn up. One thing I can say for sure is they all taste great and make the house smell like holiday heaven. I'm not sure if that red one is a dancing elf or a red peanut ballerina. There are no mistakes only happy accidents. Well Blessing to you all which one do you choose. Only one rule :Leave at least one for Santa please.
