This gorgeous Blythe doll is Coquette Lumiere, posing with her Sonny Angel friend for Winter Celebration in Blythe Pure and Simple on Facebook. That’s a Barbie apron and Hallmark ornament mixing bowls.
INGREDIENTS (makes about 20-24 large cookies):
* 2 sticks softened butter
* 3/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
* 1 Cup granulated sugar
* 2 large eggs
* 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla
* 3.5 Cups all purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 10 oz bag chocolate chips
* 1 bag of Oreo Cookies (I used the double stuff kind)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the butter and sugars until well combined, then add in the eggs and vanilla.
2. In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and baking soda. Slowly mix in the contents of the other bowl, as well as the chocolate chips.
3. Using an ice cream scooper, place one scoop of batter on top, and one scoop of batter below an Oreo and cover the seams.
4. Place on parchment or wax paper and bake for 10-15 minutes

Cookies I made for a 60th Wedding Anniversary. The couple own an apple orchard and the lady also wanted some church cookies put in as well. I would have preferred the platter with just the apple theme.
The Cookie Monster strikes! These are store-bought M&M cookies, for 2016: one photo each day (54/366)
INGREDIENTS:
Cookies
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 2/3 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Filling
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 to 3 teaspoons grated lemon peel
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
DIRECTIONS:
1. In large bowl, beat butter, 1/3 cup powdered sugar and the vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Stir in flour until dough forms. Cover; refrigerate 30 minutes for easier handling.
2. Heat oven to 350°F. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls 2 inches apart. Press thumb into center of each ball to make indentation.
3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
4. In 1-quart saucepan, heat all filling ingredients over low heat about 25 minutes, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened. Cool slightly, about 15 minutes.
5. Fill each thumbprint with rounded 1/4 measuring teaspoon filling. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon powdered sugar over cookies.
Tried making these cute cookies with my kids. The cookies turned out to be very tastey and crunchy. Will give them away as gifts for the coming Chinese New Year. Recipe is posted here.

Makes 26 cookies
½ pound butter, softened (2 sticks)
¾ cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 ¼ teaspoons vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 ¼ cups flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Pinch cinnamon
2 2/3 cups Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 3/4 cups chopped walnuts
Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
Add eggs, vanilla and lemon juice, blending with mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until light and fluffy, scraping down bowl.
With mixer on low speed, add flour, oats, baking soda, salt and cinnamon, blending for about 45 seconds. Don’t overmix.
Remove bowl from mixer and stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
Portion dough with a scoop (about 3 tablespoons) onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper about 2 inches apart.
Preheat oven to 300°F. Bake for 20 to 23 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and center is still soft.
Remove from oven and cool on baking sheet for about 1 hour.
Cook’s note: You can freeze the unbaked cookies, and there’s no need to thaw. Preheat oven to 300°F and place frozen cookies on parchment paper-lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake until edges are golden brown and center is still soft.
