This one was difficult to illustrate, I think it's reading well, but I've been staring at it for a while...
Basically you take the filling with the egg yolk which you made in the last step, and place it in the center of the dough circle you made a while ago, then fold the sides up around the filling ball and roll all of that into ANOTHER ball.
Dan and Carmen's shelf of cookbooks, many of which were gifts from Steve and me. Our cookbook shelves are more full and not nearly as pretty.
I spent the afternoon downstairs, keeping Olive company for a while.
at the pt cabrillo lighthouse, there is a restored house giving visitors a glimpse into the life of the lighthouse keepers. pt reyes also does an excellent job of portraying the difficult lives these people led. here, there were many period "props" on display, including this cookbook, opened to a recipe for Sour Milk Pudding. i found this interesting since this area was comprised so heavily of dairy farms, yet these people would also have been looking for ways to extend the life of their food. the recipe also calls for "stale corn bread."
unfortunately, i shot with a wide open aperture in the dark house, and my center of focus was a little high, blurring the lower part of the text.
Tamara made me a really cool portable tripod that she learned about on PhotoJojo. I seriously worked that thing trying to get this shot of the light on Doug's cookbooks.
