My father was a big Great Western fan and modelled them. I saw these second hand H&M controllers at a model railway show and was immediately taken back 40 years !

These were made in the days when electric motors drew 2 amps, given that new small motors draw 0.5 amp or less I would not risk a modern loco model on one of these now.

For measurement tasks to be evaluated together, various signals are required more often. The Universal Controller CSP2008 is used for signal evaluation of the optoNCDT, optoCONTROL and optoNCDT IFS sensors.

Quadrotor Flight Controller class at the HiTech STEM Lab at the East Columbia Branch of the HCLS. The purpose of the class is to introduce students to quadcopters through hand-on learning. The studets investigated the physics behind multirotor liftoff, stabilization, direction of flight, and landing the aircraft. Students worked in teams to assemble the

propulsion system and wire the flight controller and power system. Students honed their flight skills through a flight simulator before flight testing their builds in the final class.

The one and only 'SNES Nintendo 64' in existence..

You only see this kinda thing once in a lifetime.

We first took the pad apart and then used wet ‘n’ dry sand paper to key the surface of the buttons before spraying them with a plastic primer. Next we sprayed all the sections that were to be blue and let them dry and to finish off we used a clear gloss lacquer to stop any wear on the paint.

Snail Run is a game + game controller designed by Li Hui Hui, Ou Yang and Hou Zhen Long during the ENIAROF workshop at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. The workshop was organised by Antonin Fourneau, Douglas Edric Stanley and Cheng-Liang Wang with assistance from Linekernel and Robin Moretti. It was financed by France-China 50, in celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries; The Central Academy of Fine Arts; and The Aix-en-Provence School of Arts.

For the alt.crtl.gdc exhibition at the 2015 Game Developers Conference, Douglas Edric Stanley and Leanne Stanley rebuilt the Snail Controller while documenting their process. This how-to will be integrated into the future Book of Eniarof.

These Wii remote and nunchuck are all Nintendo official controllers. To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo wanted to create a controller that was as inviting as it was sophisticated. The outcome is the Wii Remote controller. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device for the ages!Sporting the size of a traditional remote control. The wireless Wii Remote controller is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on.Using Bluetooth technology. The wireless Wii Remote controller sends your actions to the Wii console from as far as 30 feet away. As a pointing device, the controller can send a signal from as far as 15 feet away. Up to four Wii Remote Controllers can be connected at once, making for some great multiplayer fun

The sound controller integrated by myself can display the running speed in scale of the model train with the distance travelled by means of WiFi based communication.

2007 Tokyo Game Show

Swedish company makes the middleware. Apparently the funky hardware is American-made. Swedish rep gave me a run-through on using it. You use a ball controller to move around. It gives feedback in regards to textures and weight. Very cool. They had modified Quake 4 to run with it and I saw that in action (I did a more general run-though in a demo program- not Q4). I asked if it would be difficult to fit to different games and the rep said that it was fairly easy. IIRC, he said that they had finished Q4 in 4 months.

Pros

- very cool to "feel" textures, weights & solid objects (walls, edges, etc.)

- ease of use (turning takes some getting used to, but within a short amt of time, I think it wouldn't be an issue)

Con

- size (bulky- would take up considerable deskspace)

I really should have taken video to do this justice. Didn't even think about it at the time.
