I use the infamous Frightmare Forest version, which is no longer produced, unfortunately.

Snail Run is a game + game controller designed by Li Hui Hui, Ou Yang and Hou Zhen Long during the ENIAROF workshop at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. The workshop was organised by Antonin Fourneau, Douglas Edric Stanley and Cheng-Liang Wang with assistance from Linekernel and Robin Moretti. It was financed by France-China 50, in celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries; The Central Academy of Fine Arts; and The Aix-en-Provence School of Arts.

For the alt.crtl.gdc exhibition at the 2015 Game Developers Conference, Douglas Edric Stanley and Leanne Stanley rebuilt the Snail Controller while documenting their process. This how-to will be integrated into the future Book of Eniarof.

After I removed the screws and guts, I removed the plastic posts and other bits that provided support in the controller with pliers. I then strung some rubber bands through the holes already in the back to have something to strap the money in. Note the totally awesome Y.

Quadrotor Flight Controller class at the HiTech STEM Lab at the East Columbia Branch of the HCLS. The purpose of the class is to introduce students to quadcopters through hand-on learning. The studets investigated the physics behind multirotor liftoff, stabilization, direction of flight, and landing the aircraft. Students worked in teams to assemble the
propulsion system and wire the flight controller and power system. Students honed their flight skills through a flight simulator before flight testing their builds in the final class.
The modified Xbox/Controller controller board setup by Team 1701. The buttons inside of the controllers had to be gutted out and replaced with new buttons because Microsoft's proprietary USB signals weren't compatible with the controller board. Xbox case from www.llama.com
I've opened a half dozen controllers in my life and this is the first one I've ever gotten back together in working order so I'm ok with the not-quite-white color and thicker-than-expected coating.
I couldn't find the acrylic dye so I went with Krylon Plastic paint. It dried better than just spray paint and doesn't wear off but it doesn't have that real controller feel. Still feels like someone painted it.
I wanted to try this with a regular controller first before investing in a WaveBird and cracking it open, although it's pretty close to white already. It turned out pretty good I think.

This is a Dreamcast controller made of bronze. I made it at Art School, for our bronze casting project. I made it in 3 pieces - the controller, the VMU, and a rumble pack.
To the right are the thin Wii controllers and to the left are the Xbox 360 controllers. I took this photo to display the differences in sizes between the two. As stated in my PS2 controller photo from before, the controllers look similar in shape and size, yet the colors are a bit more vibrant.

Left and right thruster switches return to neutral when not pressed, but the vertical thruster switch is continuous up, down, or off.
All that's left to do is sort out a 12v to 5v converter for the wireless repeater, waterproof the underwater connections, and fit the propellers and we're good to go!
I’ve never actually played the Saturn. The controller looks like they took the 6-button Genesis controller and gave it wings and shoulder buttons. Since I’ve never used it, I can’t speak to it’s long term comfort, but it seems like it would be easy to hold and not likely to cause cramping or pain. The shoulder buttons seem to sit a bit too far forward, though.

We now have four irrigation controllers in our garden. Over the next
few days I will try to add the last three solenoid valves so that all
300 square feet of our raised beds and 30 trees are on timers. I just
hooked up this ancient rain bird controller (a yard sale find) to our
south garden. It seems to be working fine despite some of the display
being difficult to read. I like that it was a $1 instead of a new
controller 4 zone controller which starts $60+.
