This is a gutted Microsoft XBOX360 wired controller that I'll be using to wire up the player 1 controls.
This is an official Microsoft wired controller. it was a bit of a pain to solder. The solder wouldn't stick to the panels on the front, so I had to use smaller alternate solder points on the back. The connections aren't very strong, and two have already broken off and had to be resoldered to different buttons.
Since I'm building a MAME cabinet and I don't plan on ever using actual game boards, I'm bypassing the JAMMA harness and soldering leads directly to the PCB of the controller. The control panel will plug into this controller, which then is plugged into the computer via USB.
Wendy put together a nice summary of uses we have found for the
temperature controller:
chest freezer --> refrigerator
dorm fridge --> wine / cheese refrigerator
hot plate --> cooker for syrups, molasses, soup stocks, etc.
crock pot --> sous vide
camping cooler --> fermenter
Note the OSC command in the "Activity" window that I sent. More info at: techartblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/make-controller-applicat...
This is a Dreamcast controller made of bronze. I made it at Art School, for our bronze casting project. I made it in 3 pieces - the controller, the VMU, and a rumble pack.
This is a birthday cake for a gentleman. He wanted a cake to resemble his PS3 controller. Vanilla cake with fondant. All pieces are made with fondant, writing is done in piping gel.
I assembled my latest irrigation circuit board this morning. It looks
great and I am really pleased with its extremely small size. The
program took when and I only found two small fabrication errors which
I can easily work around. These boards will sell for $50 each and can
control one solenoid valve. Whenever a plant needs water the circuit
detects the need and opens the valve.

Prototype of my Projector Controller. Based around a PICAXE 18X micro. The crappy DYNEX USB to serial converter that I am using does not put out a nice clean RS232 signal. So, the SP3232 chip on the left is handling the cleanup of both the programming interface (along with the Hex Inverter on the Right) and the second output (pin 6) of the PICAXE. PIN 7 goes high to red led to signal an output. The resistor array on the bottom right is an ADC keypad simulator. (http://www.lancer3.com/ADC%20Keypad.htm).
Snail Run is a game + game controller designed by Li Hui Hui, Ou Yang and Hou Zhen Long during the ENIAROF workshop at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. The workshop was organised by Antonin Fourneau, Douglas Edric Stanley and Cheng-Liang Wang with assistance from Linekernel and Robin Moretti. It was financed by France-China 50, in celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries; The Central Academy of Fine Arts; and The Aix-en-Provence School of Arts.

For the alt.crtl.gdc exhibition at the 2015 Game Developers Conference, Douglas Edric Stanley and Leanne Stanley rebuilt the Snail Controller while documenting their process. This how-to will be integrated into the future Book of Eniarof.

So its finally built ! sort of... haha .
All that is left right now is to wire up all the controllers, i started on that but ran out of wire.
The base has room to hide a computer I am going to run MAME on to emulate arcade games. The top swings open on a hinge so I can get inside to work on it or upgrade it or whatever happens to come up.
I also made the whole top control box removable so when i have the space for a full size cab i can take this and drop in on with no problems.All the wires hook up to the IPAC interface I have in the base with quick connect molex style connectors so its real easy to remove or add a different controller setup if i want.
So who wants to come over for some 4 player ninja turtles or mortal kombat when the wiring is done? :)
The front (top) of the motor controller board. Very little on the top has any real function; I just etched away enough copper to prevent shorting out. A wide margin was given to every hole, which was fortunate; the two sides are off by a couple of millimeters. This may cause problems with the vias on the right; they will likely need to be removed via Dremmel and redone with a jumper wire.
The project is documented on my projects blog.
It came in, I did the obligatory gear pr0n unboxing and sent it to the reviewer. Much better pictures will appear when the review is done.

I finally made it past the custom footprint and into the board layout
stage for my fermentation / fridge controller. We are getting close to
seeing live boards!

QWERTY keyboard and gamepad. Oh my! (Sadly, according to the flight crew, the plane we were on was just put into service, and did not have the IFE system operational)
