Another arcade controller I own-- this used to have a "HanaHo HotRod" decal on it, but it's since worn off. All buttons have been redone, including the player select buttons (which now have a black bezel).
Snail Run is a game + game controller designed by Li Hui Hui, Ou Yang and Hou Zhen Long during the ENIAROF workshop at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. The workshop was organised by Antonin Fourneau, Douglas Edric Stanley and Cheng-Liang Wang with assistance from Linekernel and Robin Moretti. It was financed by France-China 50, in celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries; The Central Academy of Fine Arts; and The Aix-en-Provence School of Arts.

For the alt.crtl.gdc exhibition at the 2015 Game Developers Conference, Douglas Edric Stanley and Leanne Stanley rebuilt the Snail Controller while documenting their process. This how-to will be integrated into the future Book of Eniarof.

I found a (clone) Super Nintendo controller in a charity shop the other day. I took it apart for a bit of a clean-up.
Here's some spec's on this sweet system. It's a "Matrix" system, meaning that it has the ability to change all of it's routings on every preset.
Instead of being tied to one signal flow you can have any signal flow you want, when you want. Which is pretty handy for score music composer & guitar instrumental musician who has to constantly change the signal flow.
The switcher has a software interface that allows you to create an icon for each device and it's corresponding input(s) & Output(s), then using the mouse, connect the rig you want to have at that moment with no extra devices connected to the signal path for the cleanest path possible from pick ups to speakers.
A matrix switcher has 16x Inputs & 16x Outputs, so we decided to put 5 switchers in this system, connected them to each other & bunch of other cool gear. Each switcher has a "Group" responsibility:
1. "Master" - Magnetic & Piezo Inputs + 4x Amplifiers + 1 Axe FX ("Front End" of 4 Wire Config) + Multiple Connections to the other Switchers
2. "Harmonics" - Octave, Fuzz & Overdrive devices.
3. "Dynamics" - Compressors, EQ's Filters, Synthesizers.
4. "Modulations" - Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, UniVibe, & Tremolo.
5. "Time" - Delays & Reverbs + Axe FX ("Back End") for Reverb, Delay & Looper.
Any order & combination of series & parallel is possible, the possibilities for signal routings are only limited by the player's imagination...

Tonghe Electric Motor and Controller Co. Ltd is a motor company that was established since 1992, located in Guangzhou and Dongguan P.R. China, our main product is AC/DC electric motor and controller. The powertrain is from 300W to 100kW. This product can be applied in many industries. Currently, our products are mainly supply around China and around 30% of their products are being exported to India, SE Asia, Europe and Northern America.
AC / DC electric motors are found in myriad uses such as industrial fans, blowers and pumps, machine tools, household appliances, power tools, and computer disk drives, among many other applications. Electric motors may be operated by direct current from a battery in a portable device or motor vehicle, or from alternating current from a central electrical distribution grid. The smallest motors may be found in electric wristwatches. Medium-size motors of highly standardized dimensions and characteristics provide convenient mechanical power for industrial uses. The very largest electric motors are used for propulsion of large ships, and for such purposes as pipeline compressors, with ratings in the thousands of kilowatts. Electric motors may be classified by the source of electric power, by their internal construction, and by application.

This is a gutted Microsoft XBOX360 wired controller that I'll be using to wire up the player 1 controls.
This is an official Microsoft wired controller. it was a bit of a pain to solder. The solder wouldn't stick to the panels on the front, so I had to use smaller alternate solder points on the back. The connections aren't very strong, and two have already broken off and had to be resoldered to different buttons.
Since I'm building a MAME cabinet and I don't plan on ever using actual game boards, I'm bypassing the JAMMA harness and soldering leads directly to the PCB of the controller. The control panel will plug into this controller, which then is plugged into the computer via USB.
Wendy put together a nice summary of uses we have found for the
temperature controller:
chest freezer --> refrigerator
dorm fridge --> wine / cheese refrigerator
hot plate --> cooker for syrups, molasses, soup stocks, etc.
crock pot --> sous vide
camping cooler --> fermenter
Note the OSC command in the "Activity" window that I sent. More info at: techartblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/make-controller-applicat...
This is a birthday cake for a gentleman. He wanted a cake to resemble his PS3 controller. Vanilla cake with fondant. All pieces are made with fondant, writing is done in piping gel.
The chief controller Pauline ( one with the backpack ) does a fantastic job of organising the group along with Tony who is a technical wizard. We hope to go on trips to parks and gardens to take autumnal shots of the landscape and later on Christmas lights locally in Epsom and Banstead.
I assembled my latest irrigation circuit board this morning. It looks
great and I am really pleased with its extremely small size. The
program took when and I only found two small fabrication errors which
I can easily work around. These boards will sell for $50 each and can
control one solenoid valve. Whenever a plant needs water the circuit
detects the need and opens the valve.
