The control column from Manfred Von Richtofen's Dr. I 425/17, removed by Australian troops who were first on the scene when the "Red Baron's" aircraft was shot down. Sobering to think that his hand was holding this as he was fatally wounded. He managed to guide the aircraft down and was still alive when the first troops reached him.
Here are all the controls temporarily mounted in the control panel, which has been installed in the cabinet. The buttons serve to mimic both the layout of a NEO GEO control panel as well as a Street Fighter-type six-button layout. It may not be obvious from this photo, but this is pretty much the absolute maximum amount of controls I was going to be able to cram into this control panel.

Burned leaves on the ground at Stony Creek Metropark.
There was a controlled burn of my favorite prairie at the mountain bike trails/Shelden Estates area of Stony Creek Metropark on April 1, 2010.
It looks like some of the fire spread to the woods. I guess that makes it uncontrolled.

Oh, these French kids were a pain. At one point I thought they were going to fall of the platform. I guess they were excited to be visiting London with its big clock, bicycle wheel and the Queen's large detached house, etc.
