Maybe?? Not sure really if it is a contrail or a rocket launch. The Navy is always up to something around here. Either way it was beautiful.

A contrail is "a visible trail of condensed water vapor or ice crystals in the wake of an aircraft." Saw this one while out walking in Hood River, Oregon.
Taken at Devil's Point the other night.Not the sharpest,but did have one of my tripod legs in the blackberry bush!
Kept the foreground almost in sihouette as not the best of foregrounds to see but the sky turned out better than expected.

This is probably the most artistic picture that I've ever taken. These are contrails from nuclear armed F111 bombers cris crossing power lines. This was taken in Plattsburgh NY in the winter of 1988.
The sky over Windsor on a busy Monday morning with aircraft flying at just the right altitude to make a trail of water vapor.
Exceptionally long low altitude wing-tip trails that persisted for six to eight seconds and many plane lengths. The conditions at low altitude were exceptionally humid with extensive flooding in the Rangsit-Pathum Thani area north of central Bangkok.
